I wonder what's showing up on his physical?

Supposedly it's an ankle injury he had in 2014, these teams apparently think it won't hold up for 10 years.

There is no reason to spend money until you are ready to compete.

That's actually false.

I know that seems to be the Royals' Motto for this year.

I think that depends on how the Royals would spend their money.

There were some less expensive free agent pitchers that could have helped us win this year.

Seems like a few Royals have been working with Driveline this offseason. They had a video of Isbel working out the other day.

Well yea, having a front line starter would be hugely beneficial.

BWillie 01-12-2023 02:07 PM

Bauer outage.

Vladimir_Kyrilytch 01-12-2023 02:30 PM

Bauer would be a great signing and it isn't too farfetched - he might be looking for a one-year deal in a low-key place or just find that he doesn't have many suitors. KC was where he rage-threw the ball over the centerfield wall while getting pulled from the game. That's just good showmanship!

Probably shouldn't expect it though, no one has done any real research on this case and just thinks he's a rapist shithead. The Royals aren't likely to pursue any deal like that because well yea...

I mean in reality the Royals should be all over Aroldis Chapman too just to rehab and trade him but of course that won't happen either.

I think the Monarchs would be more likely.

I didn't think they'd pick him back up right after they traded him for cash.

Sources: All AAA parks to use electronic strike zone in '23

The electronic strike zone will be used in all 30 Class AAA parks in 2023, sources told ESPN, seemingly another significant step toward the implementation of the technology at the big league level in the near future.

The Automatic Balls and Strikes system, commonly referred to as ABS, will be deployed in two different ways. Half of the Class AAA games will be played with all of the calls determined by an electronic strike zone, and the other half will be played with an ABS challenge system similar to that used in professional tennis.
