I mention the point spread because it casts doubt on your belief Mizzou had the better season before the final game. The bettors thought differently. I'm aware the outcome differed from their prediction just as it did the following year when they expected Missouri to win.

Mmmm...the Border War is what tips the scales in 2007.

Kind of funny how head-to-head does not matter to PB when KU loses.

Who is the most sanctioned program in history again? (Here is a hint, they are in Lawrence, KS) I eagerly await Saul to remind you of the truth yet again.

I asked Saul for a link to this last week and never was provided one.

Perhaps you can help?

Here's mine.

In Championships yes but in total wins Kansas is #1.

Would I have preferred the NC to simply a BCS victory? Of course. But it's a record KU will probably have forever which is nice but it's time to get back there.

Here's the list for vacated and forfeited basketball games in the history of the NCAA.

Kansas doesn't even appear on the list. LMAO

According to the NCAA website (Gomer), Kansas has 6 major violations as does Kansas State. Missouri has 4. So unfortunately the area schools have not been entirely clean their whole history.

I think UNC and Duke are the cleanest of the major programs in either sport. I believe UNC just got their 2nd major violation when nailed for football, and their basketball is now involved in the academic scandal too. Not typical for UNC.

Happened much faster then many thought as well.

Not to worry. The SEC has increased it's attendance over last year to 76,098 fans per game. This article does a nice breakdown, but it doesn't account for the fact that construction of Faurot has temporarily reduced seating capacity from 68,349 to 62,023. Mizzou has averaged 61,104 per game so far (2.4 KUHCs), and we have only hosted one conference home game.

Interesting who shows up under the "M" listing there. Sad.

Funny to see Sauliar get called out on this. He's been touting it for years.

The SEC leads in football which is no surprise recently based on how out of whack fans in the south are geared toward college football.

MU capacity is down 71k and change to 67k and change due to construction and will be in the range of 77k once the east side is done as I understand it. I think that average attendance # is right though at least compared to box scores as I checked the match for us. Makes sense, prior to the Vandy game a lot of us thought we'd be shopping for a coach this offseason and then boom!

I also question the #'s announced for the Fla game (as in they are probably low). They announced capacity for the box score but IDK if that includes all the people on the hill b/c it was full & the attendance # matches the current listed capacity to the exact #.

They don't stop selling hill tickets, it's not like a clearly defined # of seats, they'll sell as many of them as the public will buy I think, it's just a general admission ticket. You can sit on the hill or stand or whatever.

They all do. I just refer to it as "Macro 1" in their response chamber.

Uhhh...I don't think as many people care about this as you think.

It's definitely not a topic of discussion in the circles I run in.

How did I get called out? I accurately said that Kansas basketball is the most sanctioned program in NCAA history. Nothing to call out...it's true.
