Well, I've pretty much quit drinking beer. I'll have one on occasion but since I dropped 30 lbs, I don't want to gain any of it back.
Actually, I don't drink very often at all but tonight I'm enjoying a glass of 17 year Glenlivet. Sooooo good.

I actually enjoy light beers. Just in a totally different way than I enjoy other beers. To each his own, though.

Nothing fancy or special tonight, just some boring old Bud Light, mixed in with a Beach Bum and a Shock Top. Good beer to sip down after busting my ass in not one, but two yards in the steambath today. Needless to say, I am quite relaxed at the moment.

Sipping on a "slow aged" 12 year old Flor de Caña rum on the rocks. Yummy.

That is some strong stuff there, and extremely delicious. One of my favorites, but I usually have to cut myself off after two.

If you like brown ale, I highly recommend their Palo Santo Marron. It is aged in some kind of South American wood which gives it a unique taste. Only downside is it is a little harder to find and not cheap.

The fruitiest I like my beer is Magic Hat's #9. I don't even put fruit in my beer when it comes with it.

Fruit beers and wheat beers just are not my thing. For a combination of the two you might check out Abita Purple Haze. It is made with real raspberry puree and isn't overwhelming.

I haven't had it in quite a while and forgot how damn good 90 Minute IPA is. This stuff is legit.

Tonite - Four Roses, a shot of the yellow label 'regular' and one of their small batch as well. This is an old brand name but for the last 40 years or so the stuff was hard to find in the US. They were 'bought out' and until a few years ago, most of it went to Japan. It's pretty good juice.

I've got a rare beer in my cellar from De Struise called Cuvee Delphine. It is their acclaimed Black Albert Imperial Stout that has been aged in Four Roses bourbon barrels.

I also bought the Stone 14th anniversary IPA. I will probably hold off on that until later this week, though. (Can't wait)

Never had a Shipyard Brew. This is their 'XXXX IPA' from 'Pugsley's Signiture Series." I will report shortly. Letting it warm a little.

I had a fly'n Kangaroo tonight. its a pretty good drink.

It consists of:

-1 oz cocunut rum
-1 oz vodka
-splash of galliando (italian vanilla liquor)
-splash of light cream
-add splashes of both OJ and pineapple juice and you're good to go.

*Oh I forgot to mention, make sure you keep your cocktail glass chilled. Filled it with ice and let that ice sit for 5 minutes, mix your drink then pour. Enjoy its a very good cocktail. I strongly reccommend it. If you're a fruity guy this drink may work for you.

Last night, Four Roses bourbon - tonite it's Beam Black Label bourbon, and a shot of Grant's Family Reserve (which shows that you don't have to pay a fortune to get some tasty blended scotch).

I have:

Chocolate vodka
Vanilla vodka
Bailey's
Creme de cacao
Itty bitty bit of Kahlua
Dr Pepper

Start me to mixing something.

Chocolate Vodka, Creme de Cacao, and a little milk, you have a mix between a chocolate martini and white russian. :BLVD:

Oh, and if you have chocolate syrup, drizzle is around the glass and dip the rim in sugar!

I looked into the Four Roses, I am going to have to buy a couple of different bottles.

I got halfway home from the store before I realized I gave away my martini glasses and I didn't get the syrup. I may go get some cheap glasses at Wally World while the liquor is chilling.

I'm thinking the choc vodka, cacao, and a little Bailey's. Gotta have a martini glass though!

Then there's maybe just the vanilla vodka with some Dr Pepper.

Think I'm making a Wally World run. Almost out of cat food and conditioner anyway. :)

Weekend before last a girlfriend and I downed three bottles making chocolate martini's, very yummy stuff.
