I liked the direction that Herm had pointed the franchise. For the first time in nearly 50 years, the team was to be built through the draft. So that part bummed me out when he fired.

As far as game day is concerned, yes, I'm glad Herm was fired. But in all honesty (and I've said this before), I wish he were allowed to see his vision through in regards to personnel because I think our roster would be far more talented at this point in time.

Herm Edwards is not a good [NFL] Head Coach by any stretch of imagination. And you know this. Just because he might be able to evaluate talent, make his players like him and have the balls to start over, doesn't mean he's a good head coach. He was TERRIBLE.

54 wins in 8 seasons do the math that's below 7 wins a season... Herm was a mediocre coach at best.......

It's an allusion to a mythical being, perhaps best known to many b/c of Clash of the Titans.

No shit. I'm wondering what it is as it relates to Chiefsplanet.

I don't know. But I can't figure out why someone would want to keep a coach in his third year who sent us to a 2-14 season, yet want to can a 1st year coach that follows him (and wins twice as many games as him).

I like Dane but he has a liking for medicore coaches for some reason.

The fact remains, he was a better game day coach than Todd Haley was this year. I fully expect Haley to overcome that though and improve dramatically. But he was worse than Herm ever was in his rookie coaching year.

Herm did a lot of things right for this franchise. He deserved quite a few of his criticisms, but not the hate that some bear.

By mediocre, you mean absolute garbage.

Haley played like a man with nothing to lose, save a few dumbshit calls, and I don't blame him.
