Last time I had it on the rocks, I really had to choke it down. It's not like something from the Buffalo Trace Distilillery. I think Buffalo Trace is the best distiller in Kentucky

The best moonshine around here is the stuff you cannot buy in stores....my personal fave is the Apple Pie, but the straight with pretty much any fruit works. You only get tore up when you eat the white fruit.

And the "better" the Scotch or Bourbon, the more sure I am that it's a TUMS night.

Margarita to celebrate my new to me car arriving soon. I go 2oz tequila, 1oz triple sec, juice from 1 1/2 limes. Makes it so you can still taste the tequila and not that sugary shit they use in restaurant margaritas.

I use Grand Marnier instead of triple sec. Hear you on wanting to taste the T but that's what shots are for in my way of thinking.

So Montana Mule isn't good enough for a copper glass?? That's bullshit!!! Plus whiskey is better than vodka any day.

You can put bud light in a copper glass I don't care, but just because it's a mule doesn't necessarily mean it belongs in a copper glass. Only the original mule (the Moscow) belongs in a copper glass.

Ps if you drink bud light kill yourself

Smoky, rich, delicious.

I love the Four Roses, but I also prefer spicier whiskies on the whole. It's why I've REALLY enjoyed the rye resurgence the past few years.

May have stopped serving in copper because people were stealing them. The bars around here require you to put down a deposit on a copper mug or give them your driver's license for it.

Prior to the mule crazy, copper mugs were priced at about $30 a pop from Williams and Sonoma. Now that the industry has boomed, though, you can get them pretty cheap at TJ Maxx and other places like that.

BTW guys -- Four Roses announced last week that they've run out of stock on both of their Q recipes (bigtime floral yeast). It'll be a few years before there are any new Q recipe private bottlings for their Single Barrel.

Having never had either of the Q expressions I'm on the lookout for a bottle.

Yea I read that sometime last week. Sadly this is only the beginning with bourbon. One of my favorite characteristics in the recipes where they use the Q yeast is the floral. I'm also keeping my eyes peeled for a bottle but not holding my breath. Highly doubt I'll find one.

Back and forth tonight between Redds apple and strawberry ale, and sips of vodka on ice with a lemon squeeze.

Been on a big non-beer kick lately, beer just gets **** ing old in a hurry if you're not really wanting it... these apple ales are the perfect antidote though, and they don't become undrinkable if they get a little warm either.
