And I literally giggled when Walter said Massive Dynamic... that's gonna be a fun angle... |
I hope they don't drag this story out to long. It's interesting, but only for a bit longer. At some point quickly, I want it to pay off.

Really cool episode last night. I love the idea of sleeper shapeshifters. Plus more insight into Peter noticing the BOlivia differences, and the struggle she's having. The thing I love the most about that is that I think it all but guarantees that Peter and Olivia won't be an item once she returns from the other universe; shows tend to work better when the leads don't couple up. Them finding each other again needs to be a payoff that happens years from now.
And Walter in charge of Massive Dynamic is looking like it's going to be all I hoped it would be. LMAO |
Finally somebody wants to talk some Fringe. Been waiting for someone to bring it up. Last nights episode was good stuff. They really did load up on the drama with the possibility of anyone in our universe could be a shapeshifter. Even, potentially the Pres. Loved how Peter kind of said, "I'm on to you and will be watching".
The Massive Dynamic thing is going to be great, especially with Walter's unorthodox ways. Also, surprised they let the main shapeshifter guy die. He was very good at his role. Really wondering when/if the observer's are going to intervene. |

Great episode last night. Shows that perhaps the Olivia thing going on all season won't sucks after all.

We have to wait til Nov 4 for new Fringe.

Yes it was. Glad to see Olivia is starting to piece it together. |
Was anyone else disappointed when the Doctor told her she needed to take her shirt off and she never did?
I'm wondering what will happen if there is a new season after this? I don't really seeing it getting any bigger than it already is, I'm sure this season will end with some kind of epic War of Dimensions. |
That was a fantastic episode, beginning to end. But that exchange in the last few minutes, in the car, was just amazing. Well written, well executed:
"Why do you refuse to believe who you are? Why do you want to deny the truth about yourself?" "You know, you can't prove anything that you're saying." "I know things." "You're in my head." "Exactly! Which means you know things, too. Things about the other side. Things you couldn't possibly know unless you'd been there. Unless you were from there." |
Agree with the other comments. Outstanding episode.

I don't think they'll wrap up this storyline this season.
My guess is that next season, we'll see pretty much all-out war between the two Walters. At least, that's what I hope happens. Walternate with all the power that he has in his dimension, then Walter with all the power of Massive Dynamic. That would just be awesome. |
If they were to introduce yet another universe where they had all the same people again, that would be the death of the show. I know I'd certainly stop watching it.
|
Quote:
The ONLY reason they're aware of another universe on both sides is due to Walter traveling between the two universes and stealing Peter. The Alternate universe is just as afraid of the regular universe and vice versa. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Observer come into play this year as well. |
Quote:
Yeah....there is no way they have "the battle" this season. Kills the show. Expect it at minimum next season if it ever happens. |

I just watched Thursday's episode. It was pretty good. Looks like everything is falling together.
Also regarding the preview for next week....
Spoiler!
|
Does anyone remember this from last year? I know Guru does...
http://i52.tinypic.com/16k0tvr.jpg That "First People" hasn't been in the title sequence since the first time it showed up in Season 2, and "First People" was a huge thing in this weeks episode. |
I absolutely loved this episode. Great buildup for sweeps.
|
This has been a great season.
|
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU That was a good episode.
2 weeks til the next one, but it looks great too. |

I've really been enjoying this season. Great episode! |
Fit just hit the shan.

2 weeks can't come soon enough. Great ending.

Fun episode. Really enjoying the "Red" plot thread. 2 weeks better get here fast, I want to see Peter turn the tables on Fauxlivia.

I hope Guru and Dane are right because Friday Nights on Fox has been the slot of death for the last 10+ years.

That is a pretty epic vid.

Sweeeeeeeeet....

The backwards phrase at the end is "Only one way to find out."

Really good episode.
Looks like the epic run of storyline episodes is over though. Next week looks like a standalone. |

saw one episode, never could find time to watch Fringe. But could see myself getting into it. My type of series...
|
An excellent wrap-up to the arc, IMO. Very enjoyable.
|
Best show currently on television. Epic.
|
F me in the goat ass. I can't get enough of this show.
|
Dang, that was some good TV. Exellent story arc. Whats next? I don't like the episodes that are neatly wrapped up in an hour. This show does much better when its not all wrapped up in 52 minutes.
|
Quote:
I'm assuming that the season will go something like this 8 episode story arc 3 episodes of filler 5 episodes of story arc 2 episodes of filler 5 episodes of story arc |
I still love this show and continue to watch
It definitely helps that Anna Torv is hot as hell |
Olivia? Don't find her sexy, like, at all... Don't get me wrong, I'd hit it, but that's really not saying much now is it?
|
Tonight's the final Thursday episode.
The next new episode, the first to air on a Friday, is appropriately named... ... ... Wait for it... ... ... Firefly. LMAO |

This is its last season for sure now. |

It really doesn't make any difference to me what night shows are on. We never watch anything live anymore. Everything is DVR'd.....but if a show gets canceled because of a move like this, that is when it sucks.
|
The X-Files thread brought me here.
Question. I am about to get DirecTV....does that mean I get all the shows early for east coast time? Anyways, I CANNOT ****ING WAIT FOR THIS SHIT TO COME BACK! AHHHHHHHH! It comes back on my Birthday. |
Don't forget, back tomorrow night.
Err, happy birthday. |
Man, I love this show. What a fantastic mind-twisting hour.

Seeing Christoper Lloyd in a time travel related episode was pretty cool. He had a good line or two about it, creasing Rev. Jim.
Mind blower of a show. Are we in agreement that would the whole agent Dunham? |

Fringe’s Friday premiere 1.9 adults 18-49 rating was a fraction above its Fall 18-49 average rating (1.88) and 12% above its latest new episode (1.7 adults 18-49, 12/9/10). That’s much better than most of our polled readers expected. If it can maintain that level, I’d expect it to be renewed. That wasn’t the only good ratings news for Fox as the season premiere of Kitchen Nightmares also scored a 1.9 adults 18-49 rating. That was up 36% from its last Friday original episode (5/21/10). So it looks like Fringe did pretty good. I hope it does well and maybe Fox can justify keeping it around. |

no comments about last weeks episode?
|
Just finished it. It seems that the machine isn't the weapon, Peter is. Peter doesn't activate the machine, the machine activates him!
|
I don't know if it was the mood I was in, but this week's felt a little off me. Peter's assassinations were telegraphed. (Actually a lot in the episode was I thought too obvious.) It seemed like they were trying too hard to darken him. It was a drastic change in character in a week's time, and it felt forced.
I would speculate that it's not the machine that "changed" him, but Walter's injection. It seemed strange to me that they didn't bring that up at all this week. |
Quote:
|
I agree, the "darkening" seemed forced. If he is going to blow up a whole world, he has to change. But, you don't have to do it in one episode.
|
I was getting mightily tired of the Olivia-Peter interplay until the last five minutes of the episode.
I'm mixed on the ending. Part of me likes it, part of me thinks the idea of which Olivia Peter picks determining which universe survives is the stupidest, silliest thing ever. |
Quote:
Peter's "loyalty" to one or the other will be the crux. I'm not terribly optimistic about a renewal for Season 4, but I'd love to see it. |
