We love you, George. God Bless.

Ain't that the truth.

Best to you and the wife George. And thank you for another year of great write-ups. They truly make CP a better place.

5. Eric Berry should be on an operating table THIS MORNING

As far as I'm concerned he should be on a bus out of town this morning. He started 3 games. We lost every game. He was taking the spot of someone else that could have done better. Gronk had the game of the year vs him last night.

This is so so true. Lining up offsides, as opposed to jumping offsides, has to be one of the most benign calls in the game. Had ZERO impact on the play whatsoever, BUT it is still a penalty. A hugely stupid penalty, which makes it so much harder to swallow IMO.

The thing is - I know I've seen him do this a dozen times this season. Never got called till last night...

Seems to me the defense was kicking more ass with Berry on the sideline, doing his Hobosprit workouts and pep talks.

If fans aren't completely over this guy at this juncture, they should probably switch hobbies because they are clearly too stupid to watch football anymore.

I haven't watched the game, but in the fourth quarter some dipshit with a "Build the Wall" sign ran out on the field. It essentially gave the Patriots a free time out, and interrupted the game flow. Why would you pay $300 for a game ticket, sit out there freezing your nuts off until the fourth quarter, then get dog piled by ten cops? I hope when they ran him downtown they put him in holding with Jesus and Juan and Alejandro. Hope they No Habla his cornhole.

I go to games to get away from Political Stuff, you stupid shithead!

The cop that made the tackle had pretty good breakaway speed. Bring him in for a look in St. Joe next July. He tackled much better than Ron Parker.

BTW: Did any of you notice all the Jackson County Sheriffs trotted down the sidelines at around the 2 minute warning when the Chiefs were up by four? They were there to keep the fans from running on the field. The other telling thing was, when we lost the coin toss for OT, they all went back up the tunnel and left before the ball was kicked off. They all knew it was Sutton Death Overtime.

I've never felt escapist nervous when I'm at Arrowhead. I've closed my eyes and listened to crowd noise during some big kicks, but generally if I'm there in the fight personally, I'm too engaged to get antsy.

When the Chiefs are on the road on TV, however, I often have to walk out of the room...usually to the basement and throw some towels in the washer, so I don't jinx them. My dad did the same thing when I was a kid. His thing was to go walk to the end of the block and back, or go put something away in the backyard shed.

I'm that way with Mizzou too, especially basketball. They play better when I don't watch, and I've documented that to myself dozens of times.

Love you, George. A shame they lost, but your write-ups are amazing and appreciated. Thanks for encapsulating in words what we’ve all been feeling. See you on the other side.

I decided to watch the game out in my garage since it's heated and I can smoke out there. After the Pats marched right down the field to the goal line on their second drive I got mad and shut the TV off and went back inside. Right after that, of course, Brady throws an INT.

I decided to try to get a little work done to the house and I would leave the TV on in the garage and periodically check on the game, but I would only stay out there when the Chiefs had the ball because our defense was too infuriating to watch. Needless to say, every time I came out, the Pats had the ball. I'm not sure I saw our offense play at all other than the first 3 and out.

Some might say that's a pussy move but whatever, I decided several years ago that it doesn't make any sense to set aside time for something that just pisses you off 98% of the time. I'm not all that far behind you in age and I need to start using the time I have left as wisely as possible.

When the Patriots won the toss, I knew the game was lost. I didn't watch the OT.

gblowfish 01-21-2019 06:13 PM

Another fun stat I heard on the way home tonight: Chiefs set the all time NFL season record for first downs surrendered: 619 in one season. Yikes.
