I mean, I guess it fills a need somewhat, so okay, but did you really have to trade up to get this JAG that would have been there at 54?

It’s like we wanted to just give away the pick we acquired in the Alex Smith trade . . . .

Dumb.

Pay attention, folks. We have some NFL scouts in the house with really fresh takes. I'd pay for more of this.

This is also a pick about value, if you wait you don't get a guy like this in this draft, there aren't many of these guys.

But for example a NT or a CB or S there's a lot of them.

I think immediately what it is, is a team that is completely doubling down that if Dee Ford is hurt Frank Zombo isn't on the field again.

I also think it has a lot to do with that nickel sub package they sit in 50% of the time, they seem to be trying to get dudes who are versatile enough to play in that package and not make running to easy.

Don't be surprised if a speedy LB is taken sometime today for that same reason.

I think it's most definitely a move to keep Zombo off the field at the least and I have a feeling Ford is not long for the NFL.

Yeah, Veach mentions this a lot. Some positions have ‘pockets’ of depth. CB and S more so than the front 4.

RunKC 04-27-2018 06:59 PM

Guess I can’t complain. The Chiefs desperately needed help with their interior pass rush. He wasn’t who I wanted, but Veach deserves a shot.

I’m not a fan. Please prove me wrong

The DL depth in this class is pretty ass, especially if you want edge guys who are versatile enough to do multiple things.

Chiefs4TheWin 04-27-2018 07:00 PM

The real question is how is his first step?

Watching that Miss St. tape, he can definitely play on the edge

Mecca 04-27-2018 07:02 PM

Still hope this team adds Shaquem Griffin he'd basically he a badass nickel LB.

It's not on par with the one Reid uses to get to the buffet, but it's solid.
