At this point I feel truly bad for the KU fans. They are a passionate group but have nothing to cheer for during football and without a good football program they will never get an invite to any of the powerhouse conferences. They might want to abandon football all together and just be a basketball school.

A lot of schools only participate in secondary sports

It was only homecoming and the conference opener, I'm sure those benches will fill in the coming weeks as excitement builds.
