Sounds like you have resorted to pulling for Iowa State to beat Tulsa in order to prop up the Big 12. That might be a new level of sad.

Who's propping up Iowa State? Most power rankings have Iowa St last in the Big 12. Not exactly the team the conference is hang their hopes on. I'm sorry they didn't come through with that loss you were hoping for.

Maybe in your small social circle they don't....but here in SEC and B1G country I find all kinds of people who not only know about Mizzou, but can actually carry on a pretty good conversation about them.

While you try to make yourself feel better by putting your fingers in your ears and pretending that MU's affiliation with the SEC doesn't give them better coverage the opposite is exactly true.

Wasn't Missouri's first game on PPV? Sucks you guys still have to deal with that.

LMAO

Iowa State is hot garbage, but we all know they're nowhere close to being the worst team in the conference.

Not for long!

How's the Big 12 Network coming along?

Prison Bitch 09-27-2013 12:11 PM

It's interesting. KU basketball student section fills their entire 100K seats (20 games x 5,000 seats). Georgia football can only fill 77k seats (7 games x 18,000 seats). Utterly pathetic.

It's even worse, given football is 2 Saturdays per month in the best time of the year whereas KU students go during Jan & Feb at night, half of them Wednesdays, when it's freezing cold. I guess KU fans > Georgia + Alabama fans.

Honestly...I could give a crap about whether or not I got to see MU beat up on a small school there for the paycheck (cupcake game).

I've seen almost every MU game for the past 3 years....and I have lived in both the SEC and B1G areas so seeing them has never been an issue.

Hey...had I known there was going to be a decent contingent at the game last week I would not have given up my ticket.

Instead I was forced to have to settle for watching it on the B1G Network.

Perhaps they get a boost from this weeks win. We'll have to wait and see.

Why have a conference network when you have your own?

The SEC football schedule is a joke. I don't blame these fans for not going.

edit- and the crazy thing is that Georgia has the best one.

WHy hasn't this phenomenon hit Allen Fieldhouse yet?

Pasta Little Brioni 09-27-2013 12:20 PM

Nope, we're talking about SEC football attendance. Why is it worse than KU basketball? I thought it was religion down there? It's not even a religion in Tuscaloosa or Athens apparently. Maybe they're waiting for a competitive team.

I don't think Nebraska Football has this issue either.

Seriously....LOL. So what you are doing is comparing KU BB attendance to BB attendance at traditional FB schools?

How about comparing it to UK basketball which is really a better comparison.
