Has anyone seen "Beasts of the Southern Wild"?
I saw the trailer and was intrigued by it.

I doubt ANYONE else - maybe in the world - has that particular movie in their "top whatever" favorite movies list. Something about it is just entertaining as hell to me. The music is really kinda creepy too, and it suits the movie well. Check it out if you haven't seen it. I'm not saying you will think it's a great movie, but I believe you'll be entertained by it if you have the ability to watch and enjoy under the radar 80s films.

It's a Scorsese film, it's not under the radar.

Maybe it isn't. I don't know. I just haven't ever heard anyone talk about it. I wouldn't have ever known about it until I caught it on some random movie channel late at night.

I haven't heard of it. Jenson has, he is big into Scorsese and probably seen it at least 10x.

The action was great, but it wore on too long.
I was thought the ending was meh...

Well the whole government corruption plot has been done a million times in a million different ways, so there was nothing fresh about the film. I just thought the acting was ****ing fantastic and the action was pretty tense. I didn't feel the drag you say. Honestly, they could have added 30 more minutes of Denzel and Reynolds just interacting and I would have been happy.

I will say again that I had almost no expectations going in, thanks to some idiot friends. Movies that pleasantly surprise me tend to make more of an impact. The same thing happened with Thor recently. I didn't even care if I ever saw that movie. I saw it, it was good, now it's one of my faves.

Red X is a severely underrated motion picture.

works for me. though I almost wish it didn't.

Ted was OK. Worth a Redbox, nothing more. Was only funny when the bear was cussing, smoking, doing coke, etc.

Saw this last night.
Wasn't the most cohesive film, but it was deeply emotional.
I enjoyed it.

Watching Hunger Games.

Kinda hokey.

Jennifer Lawrence is beautiful.

Take a book with adult ideas but written for tweens, then condense it down to what was a fast 2hr20mins and the result is not good. It just felt so damned rushed.

I did like the games themselves though.

With premium TV making more and more quality adaptations, I'd like to see what HBO or AMC could have done with a 3-4 part series per book.

She is. First time I'd ever seen her was in "X-Men: Origins".
Hawt.

Check out Winter's Bone. Seriously. It's on Netflix. She's a hell of an actress too.
