That being said not many teams have SS depth. Its a weird situation these days. I almost think elite prospect type players dont want to play SS anymore because of the defensive work involved.

Kozma was one if the worst players, statistically, to ever have that many at bats. I agree that situation was hosed up, but literally anyone else would have been better

That's why jay in the 2 hole after carp is a bit unorthodox.

I know he hasn't hit yet, but just put Bourjos in CF and let him play.

Are you trolling? Bench Wong, but Ellis sucks, but play Bourjos?

No

Play Wong and Bourjos.

Why not just stay with Martinez there (10 pitches in the 8th)?

Instead of doubling switching and taking out your cleanup hitter?

O.city 04-28-2014 09:24 PM

****.

How not to manage by Mike Matheny.

Wasted that lead off double.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-28-2014 09:57 PM

So let me get this straight:

Matheny thinks that Jon Jay should hit in the 2 hole rather than the 8 hole or the ****ing bench.

Matheny puts the pitcher's spot in the four hole, removing the guy who has been his best hitter this season in the process, and offering Holliday no protection.

Then, he feels that the best use of a lead off double is to bring Bourjos in to bunt.

On top of that, Bourjos ****ing butchers the bunt and Jay, who can win the game with a walk, HBP, or even taking a wild pitch, decides to swing at the first offering.

What horrible ****ing baseball.

Mujica is a turd. F him and Salas.

Yes, that is correct.

Couple things. If you're bound and determined to bunt, why not just let one of your starting pitchers come on and bunt instead of burning a bench player?

After the first bunt attempt, let Bourjus swing away.

Why double switch and take out Adams?

O.city 04-28-2014 10:00 PM

Like I said earlier, just put Bourjus in CF, hit him in the 8 hole, but Peralta in the 2 hole.

Wow. Grichuk's swing is long.

Yes, way too long.

O.city 04-28-2014 10:02 PM

Taveras is raking in Memphis by the way.

O.city 04-28-2014 10:04 PM

Would Jay fetch anything in a trade at this point? Like maybe a decent reliever?

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-28-2014 10:06 PM

God **** I hate Jon Jay.
