Rams Fan 03-22-2013 03:21 PM

With all of the big money spending by the power house conferences, like the Big 12, SEC, Big 10 and Big East, that would most likely lead to recruiting advantages for teams involved in said conferences. However, the A10 is the only conference with all of its teams in the tournament advancing to the the next round. Is this not the greatest accomplishment in the history of sport?

KChiefer 03-22-2013 03:21 PM

So long Weber, you goofy bastard.

redfan 03-22-2013 03:21 PM

No shot, KSU? WTF

Ceej 03-22-2013 03:21 PM

What a terrible last couple of possessions.

Give the ball to MacGruder.

It isn't rocket science.

ChiefMojo 03-22-2013 03:21 PM

Ugh!!!!

redfan 03-22-2013 03:22 PM

Call a TO, maybe?

Rams Fan 03-22-2013 03:22 PM

In all honesty, that sucks and LaSalle should not have won that game.

TLO 03-22-2013 03:22 PM

Lol @ K-State

mcaj22 03-22-2013 03:23 PM

Predarat 03-22-2013 03:24 PM

Bye Bye EMAW, that sucks.

DJay23 03-22-2013 03:24 PM

Weber was signaling for a TO with probably a second left. Too late short legs.

MVC says hi.

kstater 03-22-2013 03:24 PM

**** you Bruce.

WilliamTheIrish 03-22-2013 03:25 PM

I'm sitting in my section trying to figure out WHAT IN THE **** Bruce Loosber was doing. I'm not mad or really sad. The players left it all out there. Especially JO.

I chose a poor phrase of words.

The only league with at least 4 teams in the tournament to all advance to the next round.

Prison Bitch 03-22-2013 03:26 PM

They were one rimmed out 3 by McGuder in the last minute from winning. Just awful luck. Worse, JH got the foul on the rebound which turned the 1 pt lead into a deficit with 30 to go.

WilliamTheIrish 03-22-2013 03:26 PM

But when you fall behind by 20 in the first half, you're not prepared.

Predarat 03-22-2013 03:26 PM

Hope the KSU AD is happy about running Frank Martin out of town, the dumbass.

Bruce Webber is awful. I almost feel bad for KSU

Tough break Cats fans.

Y'all need to get Spradling off scholarship, ASAP.

Rams Fan 03-22-2013 03:29 PM

I mean, this is how good the A-10 could be if it actually looked to expand the conference if it kept adding good basketball schools to it.

Hey that's not true. The came out prepared and ready to shoot. Built the big lead and did just enough down the stretch to win it. They earned it.

This. JFC! At least Kansas and Iowa State are capable of redeeming the Big12 a little! Iowa State is capable of exploiting teams like Notre Dame and Ohio State. We just can't have one of our few off nights!

CoMoChief 03-22-2013 03:30 PM

ROFL LaSalle advances just like I planned.

Difference in the game is they were relatively good from the line, Kansas St. wasn't.

By few, you mean 11?

I was going to mention the Texas loss, but SLU lost to ****ing Rhode Island at home.

That's true. However, they didn't build that lead on FT's. They built it on shooting lights out. And when you build a big lead you have latitude. They took it to KSU. I hate Bruce Weber.

15/22 in both brackets.

Ew.

La Salle scored three baskets in the 2nd half and none in the last 7:55. And they still won.

Ew.

I'm at 14 and all I did was take the team with the highest likelihood in each game (according to KenPom/Nate Silver team projections).

Such is the crapshoot of the tournament.

I don't put too much into the first or second round games, since they're only worth one point.

But, KSU really ****ed me over.

Will have to make that Co Champs DVD into a 4 disker.

KC_Connection 03-22-2013 04:29 PM

I still have all my E8 teams left, so not so bad. But they'll probably drop soon enough once the top teams start playing some better teams.

The most popular sporting even in America next to the Super Bowl and ad rev greater than all of College Football combined.

Marshall Henderson is the anti-Clay Travis.

Teams that have got beat down forever should want to take out their conference opponents. Not carry their banners.

I've been to the swamp and watched our team leave victorious each time (2 times, but so what). I know Florida doesn't like Ole Miss. And I can tell you first hand that Ole Miss is not fond of the Gators.
I'm not being ugly though to you as a person - I think you're, well.. we're awesome.

tk13 03-22-2013 05:42 PM

Maybe Miami's loss to Florida Gulf Coast wasn't that bad.

Ceej 03-22-2013 05:44 PM

UNC playing really well so far.

R8RFAN 03-22-2013 05:45 PM

Carolina will live or die by the 3 this year.

R8RFAN 03-22-2013 05:56 PM

It is pretty shitty that UNC AND KU have to meet each other so soon (if both teams win)... UNC is not even close to great this year but is better than an 8 seed , Maybe a 5 seed or 4.

I don't think it matters.

If anything -- UNC shouldn't feel as much pressure as '08.

Setsuna 03-22-2013 06:16 PM

Georgetown is such a bad team. They were giving out seeds in this tournament. This whole thing is a disaster.

Ceej 03-22-2013 06:19 PM

Oh Lordy.

You got to run every set for Porter now.

tk13 03-22-2013 06:19 PM

Georgetown is about to get run off the floor if they don't watch it. Gulf Coast isn't doing anything that's a fluke, they are playing exceptional offensive basketball.

Old Dog 03-22-2013 06:20 PM

I may have potentially the worst bracket in the history of brackets. Had New Mexico in the final four and Georgetown reaching the title game.
I don't think I've ever lost a FF team in the first round.

KevB 03-22-2013 06:21 PM

Just back from KSU game. Can't believe the lack of effort/energy in the first half. Clear advantage in the paint, but we did very little to get the ball to the rim. On defense, they were sleepwalking. Angel was getting beat off the dribble repeatedly. Will can't play and BW stayed with him way too long. Gipson was asleep the entire game.

If they bring the same defensive intensity to the first half that was there in the second, it would have been a double digit game. Angel was awful in the first, and awful throughout on offense. However, he shut down Galloway in the second, which just illustrated how little effort was given in the first half. Game was lost in the first half, despite the frustrations at the end of the game.

Bruce was terrible....just terrible. Team wasn't ready to play, no adjustments in the first half, way too many minutes for Sprad, no execution at the very end, and not using a TO for a last shot. I get that sometimes your best shot is the scramble at the end, but that's assuming your PG has made a FG during the game.

Really loved this senior class; good dudes who gave their all for KSU. Hate that Rodney's last shot was a 3 that was all but in that would have iced it.

Chiefs Pantalones 03-22-2013 06:22 PM

Georgetown has to be one of the most unreliable tourney teams in the past 5-10 years.

Setsuna 03-22-2013 06:31 PM

Georgetown are a bunch of thugs.
