By the time Reid leaves, Bieniemy and Kafka will both be gone.

If I had to guess, since Greg Lewis got moved to RB coach, the team wants him to have more experience with both the run and pass as a coach, and they're keeping an eye on him as a potential OC successor when Bieniemy and Kafka both get hired away to become HCs.

Let's say Reid coaches another 5 years. Lewis will likely have had multiple years as an OC at that point.

Soooo... yeah. My dark horse pick for next head coach is Greg Lewis.

If we win 16 games per year, though, he may be gone in 7 years.

Reid is gone if the Chiefs host the Lombardi again.

So I have watched most of the Chiefs press conferences since last year when all of them are on the NFL Roku app and I have never seen Mike Kafka say anything memorable and have never heard any Chiefs player or coach say anything at all about his leadership abilities or personality.

Anybody that says Mike Kafka right now over anybody else on planet earth should have to explain what they know about Kafka proving that he can be the boss of an entire team and coaches that are older and more accomplished than he is.

It would better to not have any coaches and let the players coach themselves than to give Kafka the job and have every player and coach in house say WTF.

Kyle Shanahan. He's sick of losing. Sean McVay sucks at drafting or I'd consider him.

Shanahan and Mahomes would be a lethal combo.

Andy Reid's health is probably the Kansas City Chiefs biggest long term vulnerability. With Patrick Mahomes as the QB, the Chiefs can still be a winning team, but anybody that replaces Andy Reid will be a big step backwards.
