OL wouldn’t upset me at all.

Getting some help on the OL would be a slam dunk. I don't really see us being able to upgrade our LBs thru trade, so OL is the main area of need we might be able to address.

Maybe Kerrigan? Guy has been healthy for his career and productive. Already has 4 sacks this season. He's like 31 or 32 so probably snag him for a lower round pick or whatever.

We had an earlier thread a little over a week ago in which a trade for Bengal's OC/OG Billy Price was brought up.

ESPN writer Bill Barnwell had suggested a possible trade where the Chiefs would receive Billy Price and a 2021 Bengals 7th round pick in exchange for the Chiefs 2021, 5th round pick. (Nothing was official about this. It was just a sports writer throwing out something that made sense to them)

I first thought great, The Chiefs 5th round pick is pretty close to a 6th round pick. I'd make that trade. Chiefs seem to like to make trades for former 1st rounders. We need offensive linemen.

Then Dane pointed out that a trade like that would reduce the Bengals offensive line and would leave QB Joe Burrows unprotected so that would be a pretty stupid trade for Cincinnati.

So now have you seen what the Bengals have done the past three days?

They traded for OC/OG B.J. Finney in the Carlos Dunlap trade with Seattle and they are now signing OG Quinton Spain.

Maybe a Chiefs trade for Billy Price is actually a possibility?

I know this thread is about trades but I am going to add some names to consider signing from practice squads or as free agents.

CB Eli Apple - Cut by the Carolina Panthers. Has only been able to play in two games so far this season (hamstring) but I think the Chiefs could sign him, get him healthy and then make him a good addition to the team.

RB Michael Warren II - Cut by Eagles and Panthers this year, but could be a PS signing for the Chiefs.

TE Jared Pinkney - Currently on Atlanta Falcons Practice Squad. 6-4, 257 pounds, 10 1/2" hands. I loved this guy at Vanderbilt and think he could fit in well with the Chiefs. It's not like we have great backup TEs that are really doing that well.

LB Mychal Kendricks - Currently on the Seattle Seahawks Practice Squad. Andy Reid drafted him in the 2nd round in 2012 with the Eagles. I know pled guilty to Insider Trading. They just keep pushing that sentencing date out.

OG/OC Billy Price, Bengals Contract – prorated from base salary of $1,544,772 for this year and $2,077,158 for 2021.

OC/OG Pat Elflein, Vikings – prorated from base of $2,133,000, 26 years old. 6-3, 302 pounds. Pat has only played 1 game this season which was first game. He has been on IR with knee injury but is scheduled to return.
