Protecting PMII is paramount especially with this injury shit, and a legitimate running game would help that.

Weird that Carl waited so ****ing long to draft good RBs.

All kinds of busts, and then in the last years of his career, BAM! He drafts two pretty damn good ones. Well, one guy who was amazing until he went crazy, and a pretty damn good one.

Pretty sure that was all Vermeil.

As soon as the Chiefs hired DV they had no issues finding running backs: Priest, LJ, Blaylock.

DV was smart enough he knew a player drafted before he got there couldn't play RB. Dante Hall.

DV also recognized that Tony Richardson had a lot of value to the team, just not as a traditional ball carrier. He took a backup who was effective only in a shitty RBBC and made him arguably the best backfield blocker/receiver in the game for several years. Richardson made a real name for himself in the league as a result.

Or how about taking some shitty nobody castoff H-back/TE from Dallas and turning him into one of the league's best LGs?

I don't care what anybody says. The Vermeil years for me are full of all the feels. I still have fondness for those teams even though they didn't remotely live up to their expectations.

the vermeil years are like that hot girl you used to hookup with while looking for a real relationship

you knew it wasn't going anywhere, but damn it was fun

shortly thereafter we made some dumb mistakes with the nastiest slampig ever

Ultimately, the need for a feature back was obvious during the 1st half of the AFCC with the multiple failed 3rd and short yard run plays.

This also concerns keeping Mahomes healthy, and not shoulder all of the burden to get the offense a TD.

Kareem's performance was a key factor in the MNF comeback win against the Broncos. He straight up trucked over mother****ers in crunch time.

Fisher is like Sammy Watkins... always bet the over on his injury time-lines.

Fisher hadn't missed a game since his rookie season. He missed 2 games his rookie year. Remember when he got hurt during training camp and the team tried to play him anyway? That forced Fisher to play with an injured shoulder all year.

Fisher has played 80-100% of the offensive snaps every season except for two, 1st season and this season. Where are people getting this bullshit that Fisher is injury-prone? He's one of our most durable players.

Arguable.

People hate Fisher for two reasons:

1.- He was first overall in the shittiest draft in decades. We were so bad we had the number one pick, and what we got for that pain and anguish was Fisher. He's a solid left tackle, but you want a dominant player when you get to draft first. Of course, that's not Fisher's fault, and the #2 OT has been out of football for years now. The pain did not equal the pay-off for fans emotionally. Not his fault.

2.- A lot of people 'grew up' watching Big Willie Roaf play left tackle, and that's the standard they learned to expect. That's just not a realistic expectation, as Roaf is probably the best to EVER play the position. Also not Fisher's fault, and I agree, I sure did love watching Big Willie just destroy anyone lined up across from him.

Fisher's been durable, solid, dependable, and an above average starting Left Tackle. While you'd like better than that from a #1 overall, it is what it is. He'd be a lot harder to replace than people think.

Worst draft I can remember. Did one player selected in the first round even make it as a long term starter?

Also there was another LT that most said was a better LT than Fisher. Time has proven that Fisher was the better choice and they didn't miss on a stud player in that draft.

Then why did Dorsey get fired, it was because of bad contracts like Fisher's
