Yes- No Watkins although we locked him down regularly when he was with BUF. With that said BUF always sucks.

I think for us, not having Hunt out there is a blessing as he destroyed us in the passing game. We will most likely still allow a ton of points to y'all but it's a threat we don't have to commit additional resources to. It'll allow Chung/Devin to bracket Kelce, Hill will be bracketed by JC/Jason and we'll leave Gilmore alone on Watkins.

We'll mix fronts on the young Jedi in hopes of making him go through multiple progressions. I bet we rush 3 50% of the time and if he wants to run, great.

With that said we'll still allow over 30 and 450 yds :-).

It's gonna be a great game.

Damian Williams might be more of a matchup issue out of the backfield than Hunt was for you guys - he's shiftier and has great hands.

I hope to hell Belichick is arrogant enough to only rush 3 50% of the time. PLEASE...

Ravens learned that lesson the hard way.

Those games we were without Sammy Watkins so that may have more to do with drop in QB rating than losing Hunt.

Two of those game were against the Ravens and the Seahawks. Tough defenses.

Hunt was an exceptional talent, and oh, a couple of those games without Hunt were against the Ravens and @Seattle, teams that mix up coverages and gave really good defense. Those early games were against teams that scored quickly and have junk defenses. It took the team a couple of games to figure out exactly how to compensate for Hunt's departure, but if you look at the numbers, the rushing average has remained fairly static. We also overhauled our defense @Seattle, putting two youngsters in as starters and switching to more 4 man fronts, which has paid dividends. For how much the talking heads trash our defense, they overlook two things :

1. Most teams were playing from behind. Way behind. So they threw, a lot. Often against soft zones and prevent defenses.

And

2. The Chiefs lead the league in sacks and QB pressures.

I'm only worried about the RBs and Edelman. If we can shut down the running game/catches out of the backfield and put the clamp on PEDelman, Ford, Jones, and Houston can tee off on Brady, make Super Bowl for Chiefs.

How's dem X's and O's?

Very helpful.

I don't think your D is as bad as everyone says it is. At Arrowhead y'all are a different animal.

He'll rush 3, have 2 sit underneath, 3 playing man and the other 2 in Cover 2.

Pats are a dime team now. We want Mahomes and Williams to run all day.

This is 100% accurate.

NFL schedule makers did us zero favors by scheduling the game vsLAC 4 days after we had to play vsRavens, AND the refs did make some 'questionable' calls (and maybe a bigger no-call) down the stretch in that one, but that game caused a seismic shakeup in the defensive backfield, and since then, the younger guys (Lucas and Ward) have more energy and don't fade down the stretch the way the Parker and Scandrick did.

Parker wasn't resigned in the offseason for a reason, but there was no contingency plan for Berry. So when Berry couldn't go, and Atlanta or Houston or whoever had cut Parker, we needed him. And then we traded for Jordan Lucas. We needed Parker to play until Lucas got familiar with our scheme and calls. As soon as we benched Scandrick and Parker for the kids, the D also went to more 4 man fronts, they overload with Houston and Ford on the same side, etc.

It's been fun to watch the defense coalesce over the past month.

Is PEDOPHILE Brady gonna FRENCH KISS his son for good luck charm ?

That's exactly what the Colts did. And we accommodated.

Mahomes had less than 300 yds passing and 0 TDS

Mahomes rushed for 1 TD, Damian Williams rushed for one, Darrell Williams rushed for one, and Tyreek Hill rushed for one. We controlled the line and TOP from the get.

We can play that game. We have an Oline that is really built more for that than passing - Wild Wylie, the Canadian Doctor and Beast Dick Erving are born maulers.

Y'all have had a great year. Teams don't reach the AFCCG without being able to play some defense.

Y'all played real well but the Dolts really played like a bunch of sissies. The moment, venue and team were too big for them.

I admit, it was tough seeing Vinatieri puke on his shoes. If he made his kicks it would have been more competitive. Oh well.

The problem we were having on the backend were just lapses in concentration or communication breakdowns, like @Pats in week6 or the @Rams debacle - we could've won those games with better communication and more speed on the backend.

We have that now. At least to the point where it's not 'well, we're gonna need to score 45 to win a shootout with Brady' anymore. Because it was like that earlier in the year. People wanted our DC fired (see my avatar) and were posted 'we need to score 40 points every week, defense is terrible.'

We are becoming complete at the right time.

It feels GREAT.

ROFL yeah Andrew Suck. And it had to be Vin. To exorcise the Lin Elliot demon. It had to be in that end zone. To remove the curse.

Finally.

Denver gave them trouble in similar games, so I don’t know why you think KC will be any easier.....
