I'm guessing when episode 9 fails to reach 1 billion.

Johnson may have single handedly killed the franchise. There is no reason to expect any spinoff to outperform Solo for starters. 9 would have to be on Avengers 3 type level to recover all the lost enthusiasm.

Yeah never as one man done so much damage to a franchise.

they really need to fire KK and Rian and start building over on a new franchise with an overarching story.

no more pointless spinoffs.

I don't think they ****ed it up. Solo was a good movie.

People just finally have Star Wars saturation. The general public didn't need another Star Wars movie six months after the last one, and so they're just not that interested.

It's a shame because The Last Jedi and Solo have both received good reviews. (91% and 71% respectively).

So, this isn't a Phantom Menace/Attack of the Clones disaster. But those films made vastly more amounts of money because Star Wars was a rarer commodity at the time.

Lucasfilm and Disney may have miscalculated on releasing the anthology films at the same time as the main saga films. Solo probably should have been pushed back to December like Rogue One.

The only thing that Rogue One has over Solo is Vader. Cheap trick.

I like the characters and performances a lot more in Solo. Larry Kasdan can write the **** out of a film.

The whole family is holding out for Solo to be released on Netflix and It's not like we're looking forward to it.
It's a sad state of affairs for this franchise.
