I fish a little stream about 200 yards from the Missouri River. As the water gets lower, it's down about 2 feet now, I can't keep the turtles off my bait. 2 nights ago I caught 4 softshell turtles, 1 snapper and 3 cooters. Damn turtles will bite on all my baits

What the hell is a cooter?

The running joke around here when a fish hits, seems pretty large, and then throws the hook without being seen is, "It was a turtle."

Had a couple of those too, but I assumed those were 50 pound bluecats

men's river week 2012 is history. we were skunked again except for the nephew and grandson bringing in this beast.

Because of its often strong odor, it can be confused for a fish. Despite its smell, and it can make for some good eating if prepared and presented properly.

Well, I just bought a Sage Z Axis. I don't know how I could justify spending that much on a fishing rod, but I've wanted a newer nice fly rod for a long time.
