And... I'm going to start incorporating running into my regimen, initially during off days. Picked up these running shoes:

watch your knees bro - shit wears and wears on them - I like the Brooks for running - but Asics are on the same level. Mix in some weight training w/ the running DaKC, to take a little pressure off of your knees.

I get full body workouts from power yoga 3-4x/wk. Some days I don't have time or my lower back and/or quads are sore form the day before and I still want to do something active so I'm going to incorporate running. Also will allow me to keep active while I'm on travel, which ~25% of the time.

Yeah - I've had Brooks before. These ASICs are supposed to be stabilization kicks to help with over-pronating.

They're of the same tier - just a preference to the individual - I have Asics also in Navy and Gray - I forget the model number.

What's the cost of the ASICS?

The pair I bought were ~$115 when first released (and still that price in some color combinations). I got that pair on sale for $50.

Simply Red 03-18-2014 09:44 AM

I have a pair for you Jim - if you wear an 11 (me thinks)

Need some help SR. I have a formal event to attend (shirt/tie) and I need to know which if either of these will look ok with dark grey dress pants. I figured the grey shoes but what do you think about them? Are they fashionable or should I donate them? Ive never worn them, they were given to me several years ago.

You can't go wrong with the loafers, in my opinion.

The other ones look like some shit Wyatt Earp would wear.

MTG#10 03-26-2014 03:33 PM

So black shoes would go with dark grey pants?

If you're forced to choose between those 2, the ones on the left are it. The ones on the right don't belong in a formal ensemble at all.

Without seeing the grey, I'd say yes.

Black is generally your best bet when it comes to matching random colors; it pretty much matches everything except dark blues and faded blacks.

Or greens/browns. Your best bet with earth tones is brown shoes.
