It's like you, and a handful of other people this board, along with Mel Kiper, have forgotten about EVERY OTHER QB CLASS BESIDES LAST YEAR. Not to mention, golden halo Andrew luck played like shit this year, and RG3 played well.. when he could stay healthy.

I went back and looked at the #1 picks back to 1999 (Tim Couch) Geno is arguably a better prospect than EVERY SINGLE QB except Luck. Of course, you will say i'm wrong, but I would like you to tell me WHY I am wrong. Is it Geno's impressive accuracy? How about his insane TD/int ratio? What about his imcreasing numbers every year? How about the fact he excelled in both Pro style and Air raid offenses? Well?

Geno is worthy #3 overall, but not #1. Too risky.

Worst possible thing ever would be for us to pass on Geno, take Luke ****ing Joeckel and then watch the Raiders take Geno at #3...

Enduring a painful 2-14 season and finally getting the #1 pick and then passing on Geno and then seeing him go to our hated rival would be just gut wrenching.

I've been making this prediction for months: we pass on Smith, draft Joeckel (despite all logic), the Raiders draft Smith, and they own the division for a decade with their new franchise quarterback while we continue to be what we've been for 40 years.
