Just watched Hard Candy.

Holy shit, that was really messed up. Superb acting but overall really, really well done. I loved the close up hand held shots. Just perfect.

It's really funny; Hot Shots kinda funny.

Robert Downey Jr. is pretty hilarious.

Yeah, not really groundbreaking in the story way as it's basically a stew of like 8 books. However, what was groundbreaking was Bale. It's basically the movie that cast him as Batman.

I still think that AP had probably more to do with that than anything. Of course, he's gold in everything.

Hell, I even liked him in Laurel Canyon, but I really wanted to see someone open up Kate Beckinsale in that.

I really enjoyed this movie also. I thought it was very well done. All of the characters were interesting and deep. Good story. OK ending. Great acting IMO. Maybe it is because I was expecting total shit when I watched it, but I've watched it several times and still enjoy it.

The Rocker

lame lame lame

too bad, but the script was pathetic, and "Dwight" just can't carry a movie...

I rented Doomsday a little while back but forgot to comment on this thread. Overall it's a pretty terrible movie but I enjoyed the hell out of it.

I love that movie, but I don't much care for the ending. I want to see the two gangs rumble and Leo kick the crap out of DDL!

Here's one that might have slipped through the cracks, unless you are a die hard Balehead.

"Equilibrium".

Dystopian flick set in the early 21st century where human emotion has been outlawed due to the consequences of it--war, violence, etc. Very 1984-ish. The first half is more of a philosophical character piece, and the second half is a bloodbath. The effects are a little hokey, but I really enjoy this movie.

Worth a watch.

Thank you for recommending this. I just watched it and loved every second of it. The movie kicks complete ass.

I watched Gone, Baby Gone earlier today and it was FANTASTIC. One of the best movies I've seen in a while.

Yeah, Affleck's little brother's a better actor than he is... but he might have found his niche directing.
