Lot of talk that the WR’s in this FA will not get what they want bc the top guys are extended/tagged and the draft class is hurting their market

The framework is in place for Mooney to take a prove it contract, as he should, with Kansas City
|
The rumored number for Mooney (again rumored) is around $10.5 - $11 million...
I could see a team going north of that and I don't know if I'm paying him that. |

If you can get Mooney on a MVS deal....I'll take it.

That's the Spotrac number is why they have him at 4-41.

We were interested in Evans too...at the end of the day he wanted to stay with that crap franchise.

MVS type contract for Mooney is just fine. The first year cap hit for MVS was only $5 million

I'll be on an island with I already know but I'd 100% pay Saquon before Mooney OR Hollywood Brown....*shrug*
|
Here’s how it went
Veach: How much are you looking for? Evans Agent: Shiiiiiiit, somewhere around 52 milly with 35 milly guaranteed Veach: Cool, talk to ya later man. This little convo means “Chiefs were interested”. |
Quote:
Veach: How much is Mike looking for? Agent: We're starting at $25 mil annually. Agent: Hello? Agent: Brett... hello? Damn AT&T! |

Actual production for what MVS made? Sign me up. |
I’d take Ridley in a heartbeat. He would fit perfectly opposite Rice and Kelce in this offense.
|
We’re sitting here talking about 30+ year old FAs like Brett would have any interest at all in them in the first wave of FA.

The thought of a healthy Saquan Barkley in this offense is a fantasy that’s not worth imagining.
|
Saquon would be complaining 6 weeks in about usage

Their OL doesn't need great players anyway as they are now running the ball more and not good in pass pro anyway. They can find a cheap road grader in the draft. |
Florio’s same “sources” that claimed Andy was retiring?

We're in the same spot with Jones as they were last year.
All the "optimism" seems to scream that his agents are playing the Chiefs again. |

It's amazing how little faith some of you have in the process after 3 SBs now LMAO
I'm not the least bit worried. I absolutely think they get something done with Jones, but if not, they have a plan b like Wilkins, and they'll probably keep Sneed. Whatever happens, we'll be fine. |
Another solid CB on the market

Our WR draft picks other than Rice have been uninspiring. We also have missed on project tackles. The positive is that this class is loaded with WR and tackle talent. |
Quote:
Barkley is likely out of the question, but I wouldn't be shocked to see one of these other big name veteran backs end up here on a modest deal. |
Quote:
This offense is very dependent on Kelce and Pacheco. If either break we are in big trouble. |

How many times do you want to have the same arguments over and over? |
I wanna see what Pollards number ends up bein. He's more fit to play in a committee and I think he'd be a good back to pair with Pacheco.
|
My confidence in Jones signing has been low since he made that comment...I forget the show...about how if they offer you a certain amount, it means they'll go a bit higher. Um Chris eventually there is a maximum to what a team is willing or able to pay.

We get it. You aren't unhappy with the WR position, and even after drafting Rice, you still don't have much faith. It's your right to be a butt****ing moron that continues to doubt this FO while they continue to make the moves necessary for us to be a dynasty. |

He's a good GM but he didn't draft Mahomes Chris Jones Tyreek Hill Travis Kelce He didn't hire Andy Reid or hire Spags. |

He also spent an enormous amount of resources to do that at the expense of the offense. Let's see what he does this offseason but I am not a fan of making our #1 asset a game manager. |

That's why I prefer moves that increase those odds, not lessen them. Veach got bailed out by Mahomes and the coaching staff after he mismanaged the offensive roster last year. |
