They're saying it might be the coldest game at Arrowhead EVER?
Glad I used to live there and have a decent amount of cold gear still. I think. SHit Believe I may have donated the boots. nuthooks |

I was at both of the coldest games ever last year. If the forcast holds I think we're going to win. Tyreek will get loose for a deep td, plus a return td. Michel will get a ton of yards and a couple of fumbles. Justin Houston gets a strip sack return for a TD. Kelce plays defense and gets a pick on the backup qb's hail Mary to win the game.

I have legit cold weather gear, I spend a lot of time in Canada. I have skied for 3 days when the daytime high was 0 and been fine. The main things are to wear outer layers that wind can't penetrate, and to keep all your skin covered. If you do that, you'll be ok. Also, don't cheap out on the boots.
You don't want to over dress though, because if you sweat under all of that, eventually you'll be freezing. |

Highly possible of 7+ inches out of this storm.

I was at the Chiefs/Titans game (2016 IIRC)
We had an ice storm the night before, and the temp was -4 at kickoff. So cold nobody wanted to go. I had ST, but 3rd party tix were being sold for $2. Stadium was so empty they let everyone migrate to the lower level front rows. I was bundled up like I was living in Antarctica. I drank a lot of Crown Royal last wkn tailgating. Kept my ass warm. Plan on doing it again for sure. |

I’ve sat in that stadium and watched them lose while a freezing rain came down on us. We were covered in ice. So it’s go to be in the low digits. Suck it up and let that Arrowhead crowd make a difference, like they did last week.

<br /> Yup. Peel off gloves, peel off undergloves, dig around for your dong, try not to dribble on your layers and layers of clothes, then do it all again in reverse. God help you if you have diarrhea. |

Hey, at least the bathrooms are warm.

For a little bit. Then you might freeze to death. |
Speaking of bathrooms, anyone done the 5 gallon bucket half filled with kitty litter trick?
Put one of those in a teepee/small tent and it's your own personal portajohn. |

Bring a piece of cardboard to stand on.

Cowturd hands this game to NE now due to the cold.

Can we get the thread title updated. Need to remove a "1".

I do know this: We all know what happens to the volume of air as the temperature falls below freezing. At least Brady won't have to purposefully tamper with balls this weekend, Mother Nature doing all the work for him. |

We’re undecided about going. Coming up from central OK. The Saturday snow worries me about driving five hours in it. We can handle the Sunday cold.

The game is over. Cowherd says the cold weather gives the Pats the win. No need to play the game. Only The Brady's can win when it's cold.
|
I've never taken cardboard in to stand on before, but I just might this time. I should put the Patriots logo on it, so that way I'm stomping around on it the entire game. :)

The field is heated, footing shouldn't be a problem... I like our chances

Can anyone explain to me why the NYFL decided to have the indoor NFC game early and the outdoor AFC game late? Do they ever think of the fans?

I really hope Mahomes considers wearing gloves - like Brady does. I doubt Patrick has ever even experienced negative temperatures let alone played in them. You may be able to sit next to the heaters on the sidelines but once you go on a long drive your hands would be about numb by the time you get to the goalline. I can't even imagine playing football in those temperatures - it's got to be miserable.

I was under the impression that this thing could easily shift and not park on KC by game time.

They say it keeps the field at minimum just above freezing.
I wonder if that will cause the field to steam. Could be neat. Anyway there won't be any frozen tundra which is huge. Being cold is one thing, running on an ice block is another. |
Hey Pugs, I asked earlier but nobody noticed. The thread title needs changed.
The expected high is now NINE, not 19. |

I imagine they considered it getting down to 9 which happens in KC at least once every year.

Since the heat rises it's going to make the field the warmest place in the stadium. They should crank that sucker until Patrick's hands are warm.
|
They moved the playoff game 2 years ago for weather. Probably won’t move this one thanks to both teams being a huge rating draw.

-15 wind chill

At -15 wind chill - people can die. I would not be surprised if someone gets hypothermia and dies as a result of being drunk and incapacitated
