I'll have to go with the shopping mall head explosion over the Dust Devil because I liked it when she got shot in the ass with a laser that was also a very nice ass. Would watch again and again.

A couple I watched over the weekend:

Shuttle: kind of a stale tale of a group of young people kidnapped by an airport shuttle driver. Pretty mediocre film, imo.

Schizo: '76 original about a woman being stalked by an ex-lover, but everyone thinks she's paranoid/crazy. More of a mental illness angled thriller than straight horror that starts better than it finishes. I'd still recommend it for the score alone if you're into that 70s synth.

KCUnited 11-08-2016 04:02 PM

I enjoyed it, but it was unintentionally bad, and not in a campy sort of way. The story is good, the nudity to gore ratio was good, but stuff like the random karate scene (which 90% of the time I'm cool with), poorly timed bursts of music, and trying too hard to make the characters quirky took away from it. Still definitely worth a watch if you're an 80s slasher fan.

Saw a lengthy movie last night. Didn't realize it was a horror movie though my sense of fear and trepidation were growing throughout. Had to go to bed and woke up to find it was in fact a horror movie!

What We Become (now on netflix with 4.5 stars)

I love those slow developing, "start of an outbreak" zombie movies where people are going about their normal lives and then...you notice a neighbor with a bad cough...then maybe a day later some emergency response vehicles speeding by....then the news and cdc warnings. This movie is in that vein and is one of the best I've seen. Avoid if you don't like subtitles

Is it ok to talk about the cliche horror films? This was my fav Friday the 13th movie, mainly because it has a classic scene of Crispin Glover dancing.

Rasputin 12-10-2016 06:46 AM

Ok I watched all three Chapters of Insidious I liked them all they were scary enough to enjoy for a horror movie not know what to expect next was plentiful for suspense.

The third one I thought was going end where the second chapter finished, but instead it was a couple years prior so I wonder if there is going be a fourth chapter to this?

Cool cuz I thought they set Insidious up for another movie seemed to be unresolved issues with the psychic lady and demon.

I did like Sinister part two better than 1, I really like having "Chapters" or "Part 2,3,4 than call them sequels because sequels tend to suck.

Who is going play the Crypt Keeper? Al Davis is dead.

I am stoked for a new Tales From the Crypt series but is that going be on HBO? I'd like it on Netflix so I could binge watch it all night.

The Witch

It was ok yes on the slow side and some of it hard to understand but it wasn't a terrible movie & I think the slowness is it must have been boring back in the pilgrim era. It actually set up for what was going on and the wickedness of The Witch. I mean you could since or see the pain and turmoil that faced the family and then the end just ended.

Since it's the Xmas season, you should watch Silent Night, Deadly Night 4: Initiation. It's a truly terrible movie but it's terrible and weird enough to enjoy. I don't know how they ever got to part 5 of that series to be honest...
