I'll see your Chopping Mall head explosion, and I'll raise you the head explosion from Dust Devil:

I'll have to go with the shopping mall head explosion over the Dust Devil because I liked it when she got shot in the ass with a laser that was also a very nice ass. Would watch again and again.

A couple I watched over the weekend:
Shuttle: kind of a stale tale of a group of young people kidnapped by an airport shuttle driver. Pretty mediocre film, imo. Schizo: '76 original about a woman being stalked by an ex-lover, but everyone thinks she's paranoid/crazy. More of a mental illness angled thriller than straight horror that starts better than it finishes. I'd still recommend it for the score alone if you're into that 70s synth. |
Watching Pieces ('82) tonight. It's been on my radar for a bit. I'll let ya know what I think as I believe it's uploaded to Youtube.

Saw a lengthy movie last night. Didn't realize it was a horror movie though my sense of fear and trepidation were growing throughout. Had to go to bed and woke up to find it was in fact a horror movie!

What We Become (now on netflix with 4.5 stars)
I love those slow developing, "start of an outbreak" zombie movies where people are going about their normal lives and then...you notice a neighbor with a bad cough...then maybe a day later some emergency response vehicles speeding by....then the news and cdc warnings. This movie is in that vein and is one of the best I've seen. Avoid if you don't like subtitles |

looks pretty good! I'ma check this out thanks. |
Am watching Theater of Blood - Vincent Price

Is it ok to talk about the cliche horror films? This was my fav Friday the 13th movie, mainly because it has a classic scene of Crispin Glover dancing.

Absolutely cliché away
Oh yeah I love Crispin Glover in Willard top 10 favorite movie <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/YTKNahASSDI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I loved the original but this is a powerful scene. If any remake was any good this is it. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/cVFF7y4XcwQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

The Others
Nicole Kidman |

It's rare a movie gets me. I mean scare me or keeps me in such suspense like The Others. Nicole Kidman was brilliant in it amazing (and hot) lady. I love this movie because it was a great horror flick that I need to watch again. |

Now I'm ready for the second Insidious Holy shitballs the first one was good.
|
Finished with Chapter 2 now onto Insidious Chapter 3
|
Ok I watched all three Chapters of Insidious I liked them all they were scary enough to enjoy for a horror movie not know what to expect next was plentiful for suspense.
The third one I thought was going end where the second chapter finished, but instead it was a couple years prior so I wonder if there is going be a fourth chapter to this? |
Watching Sinister and Sinister 2 next. Going be another all night horror flick movie night.
|
Rule #1 don't ever move into a home that someone has been murdered.
|
Sinister wasn't really scary but it was good. Creepy but not scary.
Now onto Sinister 2 |
I want to see The Visit
<iframe width="520" height="292" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/qCsULFGldi8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Insidious plans another film, yes. Sinister is good - part2 better than 1 - also The Visit is good - additionally M Night is planning to re-boot the Tales From the Crypt series :)
|
Quote:
I did like Sinister part two better than 1, I really like having "Chapters" or "Part 2,3,4 than call them sequels because sequels tend to suck. Who is going play the Crypt Keeper? Al Davis is dead. I am stoked for a new Tales From the Crypt series but is that going be on HBO? I'd like it on Netflix so I could binge watch it all night. |
no it's on TNT or TBS - one of the turner networks also - There are some good Xmas horror movies. Black Christmas, Silent Night/Deadly Night, Do Not Open Til Christmas.
|
I don't even have cable
:sulk: |
Quote:
It was ok yes on the slow side and some of it hard to understand but it wasn't a terrible movie & I think the slowness is it must have been boring back in the pilgrim era. It actually set up for what was going on and the wickedness of The Witch. I mean you could since or see the pain and turmoil that faced the family and then the end just ended. |

chapter 4 <- KC Tattoo

Quote:
Cool Look forward to this :D I didn't try read too much into it because I don't want spoilers but i'm sure it's going be good. I also wonder if they keep it going after fourth chapter? Lots could take place as they go back in the past for backstories. |

Lights Out was just meh. Relies entirely on jump scares for the whole movie.
Spoiler!
