Guys I've lived in the DC area for the better part of 30 years. I am excited for KC. The downtown parks in DC and Baltimore (not to mention other cities to visit like Boston, San Francisco, NOT Oakland, etc.) are really just great venues that breathe new life into the city. A downtown ballpark is great. For Chiefs games the tailgating is great, but for baseball who TF wants to hang around at the Truman complex? There is nothing else to do. Downtown baseball is the best. Can't wait to come visit.

Not sure how lately you mean, but was there a couple years ago and it was great.... parked close to Ball Arena, walked around a good amount for lunch and what not, and then it was really easy getting out and onto the interstate after the game.

Five stars, would attend again.

Lots and lots of people like to tailgate for Royals games, it's generally the same group of people who attend Chiefs games.

This is awesome and anyone that doesn't think so is a ****ing pleb ass whiner.

This sucks bad. Let's ruin a KC success story- an almost entirely locally owned thriving entertainment district, rip it all out, and put in a stadium for a team that will lose more than it wins in perpetuity. Huge mistake.

You ain't gotta worry about parking with this team. No one is going to show up to watch in the first place.

If you like homeless tent cities and immigrants on the streets when they're made to leave hotels they're housed in during the day.

Yes, there was a huge Super Bowl watch party in the Entertainment district next to Coors. Lots of money spent to watch our Chiefs. Wonder what KC would pay to watch the Royals.

We already have that in Power and Light if you are into that. That was the last huge money suck The Cordish group funnelled out of the city. So let's double down! I'm sure it'll be different this time! And let's kill the cultural heart of the city while we're at it! Most people think Applebee's is great!

Yeah, I don't like the idea of replacing the organic local scene in the northern part of that district with cookie cutter corporate chain stuff which is what will happen if they drop stadium there. Like a P&L expansion. That area is fun to visit now.

Leaving downtown is sure going to be fun on Royals game nights.

Bigger, better, faster. You can argue the sentiment and clutch moms apron, that's half the romance of the midwest.

But it's all coming anyways.

I know it didn't last, but when they built that thing and put in a Famous Dave's it really said it all.

It's a money grab full of kickbacks and tax abatements. It's a net loss for the city. Put it east of the arena where there's nothing and it might be a net win. Blowing up an organic success story in the city really sucks. I have many friends that own businesses in the district that are thriving but will be forced out. This is terrible.

Probably first back in the door this time, too.

It's a ****ing crime.
