Is the turntable USB? If not, you might have to buy an external preamp if your receiver/amp doesn't have a specific phono input. I re-habbed an old dual direct drive turntable last year (spent about $200) and all my house AV amps don't have phono inputs any more. So I had to buy a phono preamp.
