I've done a legs/biceps split before just so I have an incentive to get through legs.

but then for some reason I started liking it

I guess its fun to be the only one in the gym that actually does real squats

Plus, it feels really good to stretch out my glutes and groin

I'm actually starting to like it, myself.

I'm not sure what it was, but for the longest time I was dealing with some serious knee pain. By the second or third set I'd just want to die. It really made completing my workout a grind. I can't imagine that my form was wrong but I haven't changed shoes or anything else that could have led to knee pain so maybe it was.

At any rate, I've been making gains in strength and my quads are looking more defined so it's making me like it more and more.

Hopefully one day I'll be proud to show off my legs because right now I'm ashamed of these bad boys.

i think it's the fact that when you first start doing it for real you get so incredibly sore afterward that you can barely walk

I didn't care for it much as a newb, but I've grown to really like legs days. It definitely feeds the ego knowing you can move that much weight.
