It definitely wouldn't make sense in terms of strengthening a team you would have to beat in the playoffs.
|
Quote:
It would take a boat load of cash, several pics for the Chiefs to do this. That's not happening, Hill is one dumb bitch away from being out of football for a while. |
A troubled WR off the field that they don't want to pay for a pass rusher isn't as crazy as you guys are making it out to be.

Go sleep it off, man. |

But maybe they don't want to pay hill |

There are two teams currently in negotiations with Clowney.
|
John McClain ( i know lol) the beat writer for the Texans said on 610 he believes the Texans have a deal for a left tackle it's just waiting on Clowney to sign his deal.

You have been trying to run with all the trade rumors all off season with OBJ, Clowney, Ramsey, etc. |

Michael Lombardi said they want a WR for Clowney? LMAO
weren’t the Eagles in on Clowney a couple months ago? They have $18 million in cap space and could trade them Jeffrey. They just drafted a LT with their 1st rd pick too so Jason Peters is probably in his last year with them. |
Quote:
They're obviously not saying it's going down, but them putting it out there seems a little funny, no? |

I am just not sure if you are trolling "Like a Boss" or that naive. |

I don't now what you would do with Clowney going forward? That would mean Jones is gone if you wanna pay Clowney.
So you'd give up Hill and Jones essentially, for Clowney. That makes no sense. |
Holy shit I think I'm going to have to put O. City on ignore. It's dumb comment after dumb comment. It started out pretty dumb by going on and on about why the Chiefs are going to trade Tyreek Hill and keeps bringing up off the field problems, but he hasn't been in trouble one time since college. But, now he's going on about trading Tyreek for Clowney.
He's trying to "rationalize" it, but literally won't stop saying the same stupid shit over and over again. Will everyone please stop quoting the idiot, so I can save the brain cells his stupidity hasn't killed yet. |

With Terez shooting it down, i'd say it's done though and he's staying here.
Sorry guys, just throwing scenarios out. I'll sink back to my corner. |
I could see Clowney moved for Trent Williams.
Moving Hill would be galactically stupid at this point. |

I would take a look at some of these defensive players in the fire sale going on in Miami
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Miami Herald makes it sound like Kenny Stills is on outs with <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Dolphins?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Dolphins</a>. So the big name WR that would shock people? It's probably TY Hilton.
|
This thread is hilarious
|
The dumbass trade rumors have plagued this board since like last September. Move on folks enjoy our team.

Not seeing a lot of teams that would make sense for Hilton.
Maybe the Bills? Or the Redskins? Just because their WR’s are so bad. Jets possibly? |
Redskins were trying to trade for Tyreek.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Amazes me what people will just make up about me.<br><br>WAS was interested.</p>— Benjamin Allbright (@AllbrightNFL) <a href="https://twitter.com/AllbrightNFL/status/1165701107558936576?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 25, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |
What team wouldn't be interested!?
|
Quote:
That’s what annoys me so much about this chode. He’s acting like he has some sort of earth shattering news. There’s a huge difference between a team being interested in trading for him and the Chiefs actively shopping him. He’s not giving much detail and implying that Tyreek was on the block. In reality, 31 other teams hoped and prayed that he was acquirable. In actuality, the Chiefs had and have zero intention of Tyreek playing for any other team. |

Guys, there are rumors swirling about me having sex with Gal Gadot.
Well.... I'm interested. That's the same thing, right? |
There's some rumor that the Bills are one of the teams interested in Clowney.
I don't think they'd be SB contenders or anything but adding him, they'd be a nice solid team. If Allen improves, they're on track in Buffalo. |
Quote:
Hilton and Westbrook together would bring a lot of speed to the table |
Doubt they'd trade him in the division.
Maybe the 9ers for TY. |
If the Bills were to cut Shady, i wouldn't be opposed to bringing him in here. He looked pretty good the other night.
Williams, Thompson and Mccoy would be nice. |

Teams never trade within the division.

Listened to the Arrowhead pride podcast yesterday and the guys were down on the secondary and seemed pretty convinced that Veach is not gonna allow the team to go into the first week with the same corner-back group. So it just got me thinking about the options out there and what Veach might be thinking.
Teams we are not likely to trade with imo. Denver Chargers Raiders Pats Colts Jaggs Ravens Ten Browns Steelers Rams Saints Philly Bears Vikings Etc etc. Basically all AFC contenders plus our division rivals. And the majority of the NFC top teams probably aren't gonna want to help us either knowing we could see them in the final. Cowboys, Seattle, Atlanta, Carolina and Packers might be the exception I think but I think we might have to target lower ranked teams to do a deal. And even then, some teams like Zona will demand the whole farm. Does anyone have any suggestions of who Veach could possibly target? |
Gotta look at teams that maybe contractually aren't gonna keep a guy or whatever.
The Cowboys would make sense, Carolina maybe too. |
Fescoe said he was texting with someone in the Chiefs front office and they went radio silent on the Patrick Peterson question.
|
What's the deal with trades this time of year? Does this always happen? Don't remember that.

This team is literally a good CB away from having really good chances to make it to the SB.
I thought all offseason that a trade for a good CB was coming up but I've come to realize that there might not be much options. If anything, teams are looking to add at the CB position, not trade away good ones unless you overpay. Breeland, Ward and Claiborne is one big gamble. |

The suspension really killed it, but that could help with us in terms of compensation though. |

The problem is the Cards might want nothing less than a 1st round pick and I feel that a 1st round pick is overpaying for a 29-year old and suspended CB. The other big problem is the fact that the Cards have lost Robert Alford, CB, to injury for something like half the season. So a trade for PP before the deadline seems highly unlikely IMO. |
Quote:
They start with: Lions, Ravens, Panthers, Seahawks, Bengals, Falcons. If they start 0-3, or 0-4, they should be prepared to make that move. We really need them to lose week 1 against the Lions to set the tone for their season as a lost cause/rebuild. |
Quote:
"Well do you want to get something for Tyreek now or possibly let him walk after the season?" Uhhh, that's what you do when you are going all in - you load up even if you will lose guys after the season. |
Quote:

That's nice but Washington has an incompetent front office.

It's like if Jesse Pinkman had twitter, at his lowest point, and was a Chiefs fan. He posts responses to people 24-48 hours after that person's tweet, with a rambling, emotional smorgasbord of punctuation and grammatical errors. It's like he is using talk-to-text, but while being waterboarded. |
Oh there's no way they'd trade a first for PP. Maybe a 2nd, but more likely a 3rd would be the most you'd move at this point.
|
If you're going all in on a season, why would you trade one of your 3 best players to get another player?
I doubt the Cards would really want to do the Tyreek deal anyway, they'd want picks. |
29 year old coming off PED’s and only playing 22 possible games before his deal runs out.
If Veach gives up our 2nd rd pick, the 49ers pick that will be a lot higher than what ours would have been, then Veach needs to be hit with a shovel and fired. |
Quote:
And a mid 2nd round pick is fair value for Patrick Peterson taking everything into consideration. |
Quote:
I think I'd hold on to the pick as well. |
I'm still working on willing the P2 deal into existence, but I'm just super slow.
