@RapSheet: The #Chiefs are expected to sign former RB Charcandrick West, sources say. He knows the playbook and will fit right in, filling the void created on the roster by Kareem Hunt. My understanding is FA RB CJ Anderson had a really good workout and is ready if needed.

Blah, West is a scrub.

threebag 12-03-2018 11:51 AM

Well I sure won’t be as excited as I was when he left the team

Good God. All the enjoyment from watching the team cut these guys before the season is gone after watching them all come back.

Parker.
West.
Zombo.

The RB position needs change after this year now. Darrell Williams is a cheap replacement for Ware, Damien Williams has a 3rd down role but the 1 has to be drafted yet again.

The Chiefs found Kareem Hunt in the draft. They'll find his replacement in the draft.

Dan Fouts assured me that this one "should have been" picked off. Even though Kelce had to get like 3 feet off the ground to catch it.

If this team has proven one thing....it's that they can find offense in the draft.

ROFL Yep. When I heard him say that, I was like WTF are you talking about???

MAHOMO 4 LIFE! 12-03-2018 12:06 PM

West is a good blocker and receiving back. Feels like the Chiefs like the RBs who can catch the ball.

The Chiefs have gotten extremely lucky to find two HOF-caliber RBs in the 3rd round.

I'd like to see him get a chance as a role player in a mahomes offense. May help get speed on some outside runs. Biggest thing is giving us a guy with speed to quickly get into routes and get some yards in space. May not be ideal but he's better than what we have.

Let’s be honest, even if we had signed him the only way he sees the field is if Ware and both Williams were hurt and couldn’t go.

OKchiefs 12-23-2018 06:08 PM

The Chiefs love that which they already know, whether it's coaches or players. It's why trash like Sutton, Parker, Zombo, etc. stick around so long.

He ran well but he was hot shit in pass protection.

Why Not? 12-23-2018 08:18 PM

Don't read much into it. You or I can run for 160 against the Cards

4 GP, 422 yards rushing, 4 TD so far

Surely he can block as well and West's scrawny ass can.

Pitt Gorilla 01-14-2019 02:18 PM

Veach chose the worse player. Well done.

BWillie 01-14-2019 02:19 PM

West has been absolute garbage.

MAHOMO 4 LIFE! 01-14-2019 02:20 PM

Who cares? C.J. cost more. West is Kelces best friend. West brings so much energy into the locker room

carcosa 01-14-2019 02:26 PM

SHIT!!!!!

I wonder if his weight scared us off? I was watching the Rams game and honestly didn’t recognize the guy. I kept wondering who this fat guy was the Rams had been hiding all year then I remembered they signed CJ and it sort of blew my mind. He looked nothing like I remembered him with Denver.

He looks like a dwarf offensive guard.

I was thinking a slightly taller and ever so slightly thinner Mike Tolbert, but yeah, I see where you are going with it.

Our propensity for signing less talented players that we're familiar with is why we signed West. It's why garbage like Zombo and Parker were also signed when in each case there was probably more talented players available.

Direckshun 01-14-2019 03:01 PM

CJ doesn't play special teams. So.

By most accounts, Chiefs playbook (Offense & Defense) is the NFL's version of "War and Peace". That's a big factor when you're needing a body on the field right away. Chiefs were also on the brink of trading for Earl Thomas before he broke his leg.

MAHOMO 4 LIFE! 01-14-2019 03:24 PM

Looks like a Mike Tolbert clone

No decent safeties were available, don't just make shit up, if you don't know.

So we are giving up 400 yards of power running football for a special teams spot? That would be dumb.

Andy just didn't want to teach Anderson the offense.

West probably shouldn’t either after letting that punt get blocked!

Sassy Squatch 01-14-2019 08:04 PM

Anderson looks like he's thicc enough that he could just stand there like a pylon and be effective enough at blocking for a punt.

with less than half a season to go? You mean like Kelvin Benjamin? Nah. West was the smart move, he already knew the offense.

At any rate, it's not like our running game is suffering.

Could've left Benjamin at the buffet line, and signed both West and Anderson.

chiefzilla1501 01-14-2019 09:54 PM

I don't know that we realized Damien williams would be this good. Ware and darrell Williams are one cut guys like Anderson. I'm not sure he's that much of an upgrade over ware. I don't think west plays because Damien williams has been that good. Ware got hurt but hindsight is 20/20.

CoMoChief 01-14-2019 09:54 PM

CJ looks like a fat pos.

RealSNR 01-14-2019 10:07 PM

West knows the offense you say?

You know who else knows the offense really really well? Andy Reid. And I wouldn't want him on the field, either.

West does nothing well.

Between last year and this year, Ware may have hit that "average expected shelf life" of your typical NFL RB. Just pointing that out.
