I was curious who is even doing their Sunday NFL countdown show these days. Haven't watched in years, probably since Berman retired.

Apparently it's somebody named Samantha Ponder as host as well as Tedy Bruschi, Randy Moss, and Rex Ryan, with Hasselbeck recently getting axed. Whether they'll replace any of those others remains to be seen, but I don't see anybody that makes me really go, "Oh, that guy says cool and funny things all the time! It's probably worth my time to watch this!"

Only so many times you can get good TV out of a former diva WR, a dick-sucking Patriot blowhard whose only contribution is telling players to do their jobs, and an old man yelling at a cloud because you can't hit QBs anymore.

They still have a metric shitton of NFL guys.

Damien Woody
Orlovsky
Bruschi
Ninkovich
Moss
Rex Ryan
Louis Reddick
Herm
I'm sure I'm missing a few...

Mike Greenberg didn't wanna keep doing that show and he's paid like one of their top anchors, it financially made no sense.

Riddick, Woody, Orlovsky, and even Ninkovich (who seems to refrain from sucking Brady dick as often as Bruschi) are all 100% better individually than the current team on that Sunday Countdown show. ESPN has talent, but they're not using it properly.

Marcus Spears, too. He could be awesome on Countdown, but instead they've got him talking about the Cowboys every day with Stephen A. Unbelievable.

They've got the professional chefs showing people to their tables while their dishwashers are trying to make duck a l'orange

My guess is either the countdown guys have bigger contracts or have no desire to do a show everyday..like you never see Randy Moss outside of Sunday and Monday countdowns.

Should have dumped Walton ans Vitale

Buehler445 06-30-2023 04:17 PM

ESPN still unwatchable other than the live events?

I'm presuming it is.

I liked Kobler. She always seemed reasonable.

The few times I saw Young, he seemed to actually know the game. JVG was good. The only time I ever consumed McShay was on Russillo's pod. Maybe he'll have time for more appearances. I don't consume any of his content anymore, but I really liked Jalen Rose.

It's remarkable jackasses like Squirmin Herman Mother****ing Sack of **** Edwards, Damien Woody - who has never said anything interesting ****ing ever, Bruschi who is incapable of anything except shilling for Belicheat. Stephen A Smith who is abso****inglutely the worst of the worst in sports broadcasting still have a ****ing job.

Meh.

Knowing ESPN, they’ll give Suzy’s position to Brooke Pryor.

She is marrying a NBA player so I doubt she will be hurting. But she was hot and actually a good SportsCenter anchor.

SVP's SportsCenter is their best show by far and is worth watching. The nighttime SportsCenter's aren't bad either. The middle of the day is rough. Pat McAfee will help a bunch.

450 million viewers tune in to watch Max Verstappen win every race by at least 10 seconds while never being passed. Literally the most boring event in the entire spectrum of sports. :D

Even more boring than soccer, a feat previously thought impossible.

Also because they can get 1.5 million viewers at 9 AM on a Sunday and have the highest 18-49 demo rating of the entire day. It beats NASCAR, MLB and Golf.

Shannon ****ing Sharpe managed to get Chiefs fans to like him by giving effusive praise to our QB. Why can’t Kellerman? Even moreso, because Kellerman was relatively early to the Mahomes party.

Somewhere on YouTube is a clip of Sharpe hating the Mahomes pick and Bayless loving it. It’s almost like watching that show in an alternate universe.

Mark Jackson out as well from ESPN.

ESPN is closing in on promoting Doris Burke to the NBA Finals, hiring Doc Rivers to join her and laying off Mark Jackson, The Post has learned.

In the wake of Jeff Van Gundy’s firing in late June, ESPN set their eyes on making Burke the first woman TV analyst on the NBA Finals and hiring Rivers to join Hall of Fame play-by-player Mike Breen.

The deals are not finalized, but are quickly moving in that direction.

This left Jackson in peril. Sources said that plans to put him on the network’s “B” team alongside Mark Jones fell apart in part due to the hope of getting more game reps for JJ Redick and Richard Jefferson.

ESPN declined to comment.
