The virus thing is done.

Remember from March…

Why would this make me bitter lol

Less people on the highways here so they can swat mosquitoes in the swamp down there? Sounds pretty dang good to me!

Obviously, people who are 65+ care far more about Florida being a tax haven for retirees without more disposable income than they could ever spend.... and obviously there are far more boomers in that situation than having the means to live in the relative tax hell that is California.

To pretend Florida is superior in many other ways to California from a day-to-day perspective is completely ridiculous though.

LA is a lot like NY in that if you can afford it, it's paradise.

It's a big "if" though

Yeah, and just consider most income tax free states are places that aren't exactly attractive.... Wyoming, South Dakota, almost all of Nevada, Alaska.

And then Florida, with its pristine beaches and warmer weather, which is also 23rd in housing cost... almost identical to the average price of a home in Maine or in the Dakotas than Hawaii or any west coast state.

People go to die there, not to live there.

I’ve received a lot of offers over the years to work in Cali. What I have in housing in LA costs $3-$5 million. Who can afford that but millionaires?

That graph is depressing.

All those great states are being ruined by people fleeing their crappy states. Now they live in the great states and support the same garbage they are fleeing in the first place.

Ugh.

I couldn’t/can’t afford to buy my house now. Just had some lucky timing and got in before the real estate market went completely nuts.

It's all about the weather. No thanks to 4 seasons or humidity that just makes it barely tolerable. I hate my higher taxes in Cali but the Mediterranean weather here in the Bay Area is top notch.

Just like a diaper won't mask a fart nor will one on your face stop a virus.

That little midget is right at fart whiffing height maybe covid can be contracted from farts. Where is Fauci when you need him.

You think that people ages 65+ are the only people moving to Florida as part of the recent population boom in the state? LMAO

I’d imagine if they’re rich, that’s just little winter get away homes that they rent out to idiots in the summer because no person in their right mind chooses to live in Florida in the summer if they have the means not to.
