I always read Billay's posts as "Scotty" so the tough guy schtick entertains me. |
Whenever I have built good neighbor fences and one side of the board is a bit rougher than the other, the nice side faces whoever is paying for the fence and labor. If both are sharing the costs, I alternate the 8' bays splitting good side vs rough side equally. Most fences have a seasoned look within a year anyway and all is forgotten.

And then in the mural he could also paint the neighbors' attractive college-age daughter sunbathing naked. |

You got a free fence. I asked a neighbor once to split the cost of a fence and he told be to pound sand so he got the ugly side.

My neighbor just dug a trench in my backyard along our fence. Said that water was leaking under/through the cement cinderblocks that my fence is built on top of and into his garage. Asked me if he could dig it up, and seal it on my side. He dug it, sealed it, lined it with plastic and re-buried. Great guy.

So now a shitty looking privacy fence, has uneven gaps between many slats, along half and then a 40+ year old chain link the rest of the way. |
We're gonna need pictures of said fence.
