ive had way more fun watching this team for 6 weeks after seeing Matheny fired than I ever thought possible out of this team this year.

We are tied for a playoff spot. 15 games to go. In the next two weeks if we make the playoffs with our schedule, we will have earned it and may have a chance in a series. If not, already exceeded any expectations I had for this year.

After all, I have a Mahomes in my fandom back pocket to enjoy.

he's had some, let’s be generous “missteps” the last couple of weeks. Maybe he’s learning. The 7th inning against the heart of the order was the time to throw your best pitcher available. Maybe the game gets out of hand later. If you throw a “meh” pitcher right then, it could get out of hand right now.
