Yeah, I'm here for the activation of playoff mode. I was informed there would be a playoff mode activation present.

You wanna know why Lebron went west? Legacy.

He’s not stupid. He heard the talk. He knows what everyone has been saying about him. Years of beating up on a weak east, coupled with a 3-5 record in the NBA Finals.

As great as Bron Bron is, he’ll never be revered the way Jordan was/is unless he went to the west and won a couple titles out there, taking out the western teams on his way to the Title.

THAT’S the way for Lebron to cement his legacy and be mentioned alongside Jordan as the GOAT. He knows this. Then again, 3-5 will never be 6-0, and he knows that too.

But he’s at least got a ‘shot’ now that he’s out west. Balls in your court, Bron Bron.

You think you’re the GOAT? Prove it.

3-6 record finals record. Had he played in the varsity league his career he may have 1 or 2 rings at best.

TomBarndtsTwin 03-07-2019 09:11 AM

My bad, 3-6. Forgot to add in last years loss.

Lebron is going to have to have one hell of a run in his twilight with the Lake show to surpass MJ. I mean, that’s great that he’s passing Jordan on all these all times lists, including scoring, but it took him 120 more games to do it. And he plays in an era where it’s much easier to score. They don’t/can’t play defense now the way they did back in the 90’s.

Look, I don’t hate Lebron and I’m honestly not trying to bag on the guy, he seems like a good dude. He’s just not Jordan . . . . . and that’s okay.

He will never be revered the way Jordan is short of some unprecedented run of success with the Lake show here at the end of his career.

Here's the deal..eventually Durant passes Lebron on the scoring list and likely has a much better finals record after this year including a 2-1 H2H advantage.

O.city 03-07-2019 09:19 AM

Durant is going to play in New York next year.

If he wins it this year that puts him at 3-1. Lebron is 3-6 and isnt winning another one.

Whatever your feelings on Lebron are, it's pretty impressive that he's done what he's done. Dude was on the cover of SI as a 15 year old being billed as the next whatever. That he's done what he's done is pretty impressive.

It'll be interesting to see the landscape of the league next year. I'm guessing Durant and Kyrie are in New York, Draymond is a Laker with Lebron and AD.

The Warriors are or will gear up to get Giannis in a year or two.

He had to go to team up with Curry and company to win 3. I don't really know how you can knock Lebron for doing it, but it's ok for Durant.

Just don't use it as an excuse for why LeBron can't win championships when he started this super team bullshit to begin with.

You've kind of always had to have a super team to win championships in the NBA.

Sure? Was that a question?

All everyone talks and judges these guys on is championships, then when they go to the best place to win them everyone flips out.

Shit i'd do the same thing. I really don't know that i'd leave GS if I were Durant, but he's pretty fragile and doesn't seem to like Curry getting all the hype. I think it bothers him that he went there and won 3 and they'll kind of always feel like he was the hired gun in the area and Klay, Steph and Dray are the homegrown guys etc.

I dunno, Durant seems kinda weird to me.

Jordan didn’t. He had Pippen and a bunch of role players. Hell, Dirk practically won one title by himself in Dallas. Against who?

The Miami super team that Lebron originally formed.

Something to think about.

Jordan had another Hall of Famer. That's kind of the point. He also always had a really solid team around him when he won those 6, with a great coach.

Jordan stayed the hell out of all the "Gm'ing" which was the right thing to do. I think that's been Lebrons biggest problem. Klutch has to have his guys around and it just doesn't work out.

That Dallas team was pretty good and had some guys playing out of their minds that series IIRC. Plus i'm pretty sure that was the series Lebron had his mental breakdown.
