It's not Boston, but there's a movie in the works set in Lowell planned about Irish Mickey Ward (the boxer) called The Fighter. Mark Wahlberg is to star in it. Darren Aronofsky was supposed to direct at one point, but I don't know if he still is. It should be a good movie. There's also a documentary called something like, "High On Crack Street: Lost Lived in Lowell" about crackheads in the area. One is Irish Mickey Ward's mom and his brother too.
