Yes, it does. If teams are gonna drop 3 and 4 deep on us all the time we have to be able to run the ball effectively. And as you said, helps the D too.

I'm honestly willing to bet there's never been a single instance in the NFL that a team from one game to the next has ever incrementally improved their OL as we will have from the Super Bowl to Week 1 2021.

We have no idea what this offense is capable of with this kind of line. It opens up so many things that weren't even possible before.

I never imagined I could be this excited about a center pick, but he fits so well with what this team has tried to do this offseason.

His interview on 610 today was amazing. Mitch said he has to make sure he is 100% then decide if he wants to stay playing-if so, the Chiefs will have 1st rights of refusal.

It’s kind of odd to me that Veach took Bolton first and then Humphrey. Kind is seems like Humphrey is the better player of the two. Wonder why we didn’t take him with 58? Nevertheless, looks like a good pick.

I wouldn't be surprised if they start the season with Tard at RG, Long at RT and view Niang as the swing tackle and blythe as a swing guard\center. If Long is healthy and has enough left in the tank , he'd be an excellent mentor to Niang. Adding a game to the schedule and likely making the playoffs means there's plenty of snaps for everyone.

Probably because they also liked the center Green Bay took and figured we would get one of them.

I like Creed better than Myers but he is good too.

Are 32.25 inch arms really even that short for a center? Mitch Morse's arms are the same length.

If a Pit Bull bites you in the ass, are you concerned his teeth are a little shorter than other attack dogs?

jjchieffan 04-30-2021 08:57 PM

Ha! Raiders changed their mind about cutting Hudson and traded him cheap to ensure that he didn't go back to KC. Instead of paying big money to a player that's towards the end of his career, the Chiefs get a fantastic center on a rookie contract. Suck it Faiders

New Orleans took a worse MLB prospect right after 58, so no, not really.

smithandrew051 04-30-2021 09:04 PM

Well, if Veach didn’t like the other options at WR then you might as well create an elite OL. Give Patrick more time and a legit running game.

Well done Burt.

It's not like Blythe is breaking the bank with his $990K contract.

He's extremely caught up in positional value, so if you take IOL, RB, off ball LB etc in the first 2 rounds you get a bad grade immediately.

It’s weird. There’s this new generation of fan/media types in the PFF/ArrowheadPride that are extremely arrogant and think that it’s a science.

Matt Lane hated the Thuney signing because “you don’t pay a guard that much money”.

But who thinks like this?

Nobody consistently winning in the NFL does.

Outside of the top 15-20 picks, positional value isn’t nearly as important as they make it out to be.
