He’s a project at best at QB. Not a first round talent.

You're going to be very disappointed watching the draft when your project QB goes in the first 10 picks.

Not if he goes to a division rival. I’ll be stoked.

Red Dawg 02-12-2019 07:43 AM

He's too little. There has to be a limit and he is under it.

MAHOMO 4 LIFE! 02-12-2019 07:52 AM

Murray is shorter than 5’10”. He will be a bust. Should’ve went to the MLB. More money

FringeNC 02-12-2019 07:56 AM

This is a tough call. He's 5-10 at best. If he can use his mobility like Mahomes to buy time to throw he has a chance. If he uses his mobility like RG3, same result as RG3.

How strong is his arm?

He does have a strong arm. I will give him that. Baseball definitely helped him there

I think you guys are missing the point because you keep looking at his height.

The NFL is setup now more than ever to protect the QB, and you need a QB who can deliver on the unscheduled stuff. Yes height matters, but There are some great examples recently why it isn’t the end all be all.

You need someone who can make plays, this kid can. He also has experience in Kliffs system.

I never say anything original. Welcome to the club. One thing though, we're gonna' have to split $$$ on the fan club money. He's been in my fan club since 2008, so the best I can offer you 10% unless you agree to let him hump your leg more often than mine. Have your secretary call mine.

Probably the most tantalizing prospect out of the draft this season- it will be interesting to see where Kyler ends up (some have him as high as #13 to the Phins). The concerns about Kyler's heights are legitimate- there just isn't a very good track record of quality quarterbacks that are smaller than 5'11. That being said with his athletic ability it's hard to write him completely off. Lamar Jackson to me is a much worse quarterback but it looks like Lamar is going to carve himself a career- although I would argue Lamar landed in maybe the perfect spot for his skill set.

I tend to lean that if Kyler is talented enough and can improve his ability to read a defense and progress through his reads, he can overcome a few inches (I wish I could overcome a few inches amiright!?).

I think the timing is absolutely perfect for him. He enters the draft following a year that his predecessor Mayfield had an excellent rookie season (and Mahomes helps by blowing out of the water the notion that Big 12 QBs can't succeed in the NFL) AND Lamar Jackson replaces Flacco and leads the Ravens to the playoffs.

A year ago today and there's no way his draft stock is where it is right now.

After thinking about this, I'm still struggling to understand why I should care.

This is gonna be weird, he'll go in the 1st but with 1st round talent he has undrafted player level size.

It's gonna be a GM that is really ballsy or one that feels he's very safe and can take a chance.

The guy can't run for yards regularly, he'll get pummeled and playing baseball inside 4 years

My point is that 99% of quarterbacks fail. You can always point to a reason. The reason is that succeeding is a confluence of factors, the ultimate organization and hierarchy of which is totally unknown to even the top experts.

Nobody knows why one QB sucks and another one is amazing. So, they point to the few factors they CAN measure.

ROFL The way you snuck in Rapistbuttplug.. Perfection my friend

What? QBs can still get killed. Especially if they’re young...

How much extra “protection” from the refs did Mahomes get?

ZERO! Didn’t benefit from a single new QB protection rule all season (minus the one time he got low blowed like ‘08 Brady)

(Still, it’s possible he gets the Brees/Wilson short guy treatment from the refs)

Sweet Daddy Hate 02-13-2019 03:24 PM

Would make a fine AFCW QB. Isn't it about time to get Phyllis an understudy? Elway to blow another pick? Or Gruden to sever ties with Emo?
