27/41 for 278 yards and a rushing TD is "looking weak"?

At least he didn't need the benefit of some obscure "Tuck Rule" to bail him out during his first playoff start like TB12 did back in the day.

Talk about "weak".

I doubt they'd say it like that. However if we play the saints, we won't hear anything about dome field and we'll hear all day long about how good they are on turf.

Brady loves this type of weather. His level of play elevates in frigid temperatures. Looks like the forecast is greatly in our favor.

I'd rather absorb a hit in 9 degree weather when I was in my early 20s vs. 45 or how ever the hell old he is. If you think Tom Brady is happy that it will be in the single digits in the 2nd half vs. say 40 degrees, you're insane. Mahomes won't be happy either, but to suggest this is great for NE is laughable.

That's weak considering the defense it came against.

Winning the SB & SB MVP is weak, I agree. If only we could all be perennial losers like the Chiefs. That's where it's at!

Better just hope once we have a huge lead we go easy on Brady, the guy might really suffer something horrible at his geriatric age.

I think that is the collective reaction of watching the likes of Blake Bortles, Matthew Stafford, Marcus Mariota, and Ryan Tannehill light up the Faketriots shit stain defense on the road this season.

Since you are a bandwagoning fraud you probably don't remember those games.

KC fans and talking about meaningless regular season games. There isn't a more iconic duo.

When you were reminiscing about the only time of the year that the Chiefs show up (the regular season) you forgot to mention that by the end of it all, we shut down the Steelers offense in our final road game of the year. As usual, our defense is playing its best football when it matters most.

So the Faketriots being 3-4 on the road in the playoffs with Belichick/Brady, and not winning a playoff road game since January 2007 is "meaningless"?

The fact your trash defense got lit up by Ryan Tannehill on the road a month ago is a bad sign for you.

9.2 yards per play (!!!!) (is that an NFL record?) allowed against the #31-ranked Miami offense.

Must be tough for Brady to make checkdown throws and dump offs. Only 8 of 44 passes went more than 7 yards downfield LMAO

Brady and the Patriots will be unaffected by weather. Yesterday in Foxboro the temp was only 5 degrees warmer than this coming Sunday's forecast high and you saw what Brady did. He lives in a cold climate and BB practices the team outside.

It is entirely meaningless. Let me know when your defense all of a sudden turns into the 2015 Denver Broncos or when your playoff homefield advantage is what it was for Indy and Denver over that stretch.

ROFL you scared bro?

You know that Brady hasn't won a playoff game on the road in 12 years... and that was in warm San Diego.

You have to go back 15 years to when Brady last won a playoff game on the road in a legit hostile/cold environment.

Brady was 26 then.

I thought we were talking weather here, but the same can be said for any QB. When the weather's bad things tend to tighten up and that's where experience matters.

Not against this OL, and certainly not when Brady gets the ball out in under 2.5 seconds.

He had a mediocre game vs. the Steelers but if you're suggesting the Patriots have been a different team on the road this year, you're correct. I'd say the Chiefs definitely should be favored.

Never to be heard from again. You'll fade into the abyss with your shitty team. Maybe you'll watch them for another year or two, just in case the magic isn't over, but inevitably you'll be sporting a PM2 jersey just like every other Patriots fanboi

Posted this in the 'gameday' thread but might be more appropriate here:

Coldest overall game in Patriots history was the 2004 Divisional Round game against the Titans at Gillette. Golden boy was 21/41 with 1 TD/0 INTs and a 73.3 QBR. 4 degrees/-10 wind chill.

Coldest regular season game in Patriots history was December 2017 against the Jets at Gillette as the Patriots sought to lock up HFA. Golden boy was 18/37 with 2 TD/0 INTs and a 51.6 QBR. 13 degrees/-2 wind chill.

Conveniently leaves out that they no longer have Hunt, who has been their biggest weapon vs NE, and that JC Jackson (who has the lowest passer rating allowed of all CBs in the NFL since becoming a starter, and who has shut down Adam Thielen and JuJu) was not a starter for NE in week 6.

We shut them down in their own building. Brown and JuJu combined for like 80 yards and we held them to 17 points.

We lost the game because Brady was playing through an MCL injury. He's all healed up.

How many passing TDs did Mahomes have in the cold on Saturday?

If Patriot fans are hoping to bank on us not having Hunt then I guess they haven't watched the last five Chiefs games.

Clearly not, because they were only able to score 17 points in their own building.

Well consider this, the Steelers without Conner or Bell ran for 158 yards on you.

The Chiefs just rushed for 160+ yards on the Colts (PS by all metrics a MUCH better run defense)

Did I mention that no only can we run but we have Tyreek Hill, yeah you guys haven't figured him out yet. Add in Kelce and Sammy.........

Oh,

And we have the most productive pass rush in NFL.

I like our chances.......

How many passing TDs did Mahomes have in the cold on Saturday?

We lost the game because Brady was playing through an MCL injury. He's all healed up.

So....which team are you planning to be a fan of once Brady retires?

Pat carved up the Colts and their supposedly vaunted defense, c'mon with that noise.

Man it has been the same all season...every defense is great until Pat beats them and then suddenly they're an easy win.

The Colts always get run over in the playoffs. We should know, we've smacked them around more than anybody. Don't be talking about the Colts when you're dealing with the final boss.

We held the Chargers to 19 rushing yards. You won't win the game by running the ball. Even if you have around 100 yards, it won't be enough, since we will take away your passing game.

In the previous games against Hill we've also had to focus on Hunt. We can put much more attention on him now. JC Jackson is excellent in deep coverage, and with a safety over the top, that will limit Hill. Gilmore will shut down Watkins once again. Kelce averages like 60 yards per game against us in his career. We own him.

Mahomes did not look good in the cold last week in his playoff debut. Belichick will toy with the poor boy all game long.

Great game plan, I mean you have never executed vs us but great game plan.

Question!

Since the last two times we have played you we hung 40 on you, how do you plan to do the above?

PS 52 sacks to 30............

Brady is nothing more than a benchwarmer in Arrowhead

Already outlined above. Hunt was a matchup nightmare for us in both the run and pass game. Williams is a capable back, but he is nowhere near the playmaker.

Your pass rush is not impressive at all. You get sacks against low quality opponents who you get up a few scores on and force to pass on every down, but you don't get many overall pressures, whereas we rank 3rd in the NFL in pressure rate.

BleedingRed 01-14-2019 01:18 PM

3 of the last 4 meetings we have dropped 40+ points on NE... And these guys want to act like Patrick Mahomes doesn't exist.

carcosa 01-14-2019 01:18 PM

This guy sure is spending a lot of time and effort trying to convince us (and himself?) that the Patriots are going to win
