This team can't tackle.
AT ALL. And it's something that's not going to be fixed. |

They're paid millions of dollars to play a game for our entertainment anyway, whats a little shock to a 275 pound man. 3-4 times a week 16 weeks a year? |
I was in the camp that RR and AH were behind in reps - through week 6 this can no longer be an excuse - they're both liabilities.

It’s mostly on the defense. I’m saying that Mahomes isn’t without some blame. Yes, Mahomes brought us back, but he’s also part of the reason we had a deficit to begin with. |
We need to start a eyeglasses drive for Sutton. Or a something...
|
OR jump into traffic with by minute by the 101?
|
Call the Arizona Cardinals every single ****ing day until the trade deadline. Get Peterson and Reddick and salvage what you can of this dumpster fire of a defense.
|
But but but but you beat the JAGUARS!!! They beat the Patriots, remember?! That means you were DEFINITELY going to beat the Pats by at least 30 points. What happened?? Oh i know, you played the GOAT QB and GOAT HC after September. ROFL
|
Sutton defense, need a good clean cleanse, we got it 1800 Arrowhead drive.
|
No Depends for you in retirement Sutton.
|
We paid enough for them.
|
I thought the play where Hitchens blazed through the gap and blew up White was gonna be like an every drive kinda play out of the guy this season. Boy was I wrong!

This defense can't be fixed in one year. All LB's suck. DB depth is awful.

Sutton can't close out a game worth a shit- never has and never will.
This is the worst defense I have ever seen in Red. Can't tackle, can't stop the run. every single screen pass is a huge play, can't cover tight ends, can't wrap up on a sack, stupid penalties. And Sutton goes conservative the entire second half. Hey, let's rush three and have the rest of the team not do jack shit. Pathetic performance. That entire side of the ball from Sutton on down are a ****ing embarrassment. |

Your team looked like shit. Paper tigers. Total second half collapse. |

Not a good look for you. |

All it took for you to beat us was being gifted points in the first half, an all-time historic shitty defensive performance by the Chiefs and ZERO penalty yards by the refs- and you won at the last second of the game. So go **** yourself. Time for you to go troll the Bears boards now with your ignorant garbage. |

If my team - a team who has only lost 3 games at home (2 vs buffalo, 1 vs KC) in god knows how many years.......
just got lit up for 40pts at home....and needed a last-minute FG to win. I sure as hell wouldnt be talking any crap. But hey, Pats fans (and Boston fans in general) are what they are. BTW - The whole "we're back" narrative is a joke. They feasted on 3 straight home games versus 3 horrible defenses. |

For the record this defense is nowhere near as awful as the 2003 defense.

The game has changed. There are no elite defenses. Ravens will get fisted at Arrowhead.

What if the Bengals decides to finally move on from Marvin Lewis and the Chiefs hires him as DC in the offseason?

Chiefs left points on the board in the first half, played like garbage on D, and lost on a last second FG.
**** that was fun to watch in the 2nd half. 2 good teams. |

2018...28, 37, 27, 23, 14, 43. They have forced 9 turnovers. 5 in one game. This defense is far worse through the first 6 weeks. The 2003 defense wasn't good at all, but it only had 4 legitimately bad defensive games the entire season. The only thing people remember is the "no punt" game, which, while atrocious, was only marginally worse than what we witnessed last night. |

Maybe I'm the outlier in that I sit and watch about every game on Sunday, but with how people talk about defenses here I wonder if people only watch the Chiefs.
The Chiefs d isn't good. Not arguable. But there aren't really good D's anymore. Even "good" defenses get lit up by good offenses. |

Ravens D looks great. They've also played Buffalo and Tennessee, probably the worst offensive teams in the AFC... but they held them to a combined 3 points. He held the Steelers to 14. The Bengals put up points because Flacco Flacco'd, but they held them under 400 yards. Held the steelers under 300. The ravens D is good. So far. |

Im optimistic about Berry. I think he WILL be the Berry we remember. That Achilles is getting more time to heal after surgery too. And if somehow, some way they're able to trade for Patrick Peterson....though ILB is the real issue with this defense. |
At least in 2003, they waited until November and December to get absolutely gashed for huge plays continuously. This team is ahead of the curve!

We may be splitting hairs but I remember that 2003 season like it was yesterday. The one advantage that 2003 defense had was its ability to force turnovers. This defense...I just don't see anything other than an okay pass rush (so long as Houston is in there). Guys are always wide open and our vulnerability to the run is glaring. I mean, they forced zero punts last night and gave up 500 yards of offense, along with 43 points. They got to Brady three times all night. Three times. They are the first team in NFL history to give up 500 yards three different times during the first 6 weeks of the season. Unless we play a completely inept offense (see: Jacksonville) then I have zero faith in this team come playoff time. We should get a top 2 seed because, other than the Rams, Chargers, and I suppose Baltimore, I think we can basically outscore everyone else. But this has the feeling of 2003 all over again. A good offensive teams rolls into Arrowhead in the playoffs and our defense cannot get off the field. We'll have a turnover or a bad call and we'll be playing catchup the entire game. |
