There's no conference room at the Super 8, Which is where Clark makes them stay...

Still making "Clark Hunt is cheap" jokes?

Really?

Yeah, for those of us that knew all along Clark isn't cheap, it was, is, and always will be funny.

OK, I can get on board with that.

The senior bowl not that important. His pro day will be big for him

Big story, for me, is that Dorsey trusts his scouts. And they seem to trust him. Big departure from Pioli, who was so arrogant that he decided not to listen to any of his scouts in 2009.

Aren't some, if not all, of these guys actually Scooter's guys he hired?

If so, it's even more impressive that Dorsey trusts them.

Fat Scott would have been too paranoid to hold this type of meeting in public... fearing there would be video cameras recording, Blackhawk helicopters spying on him, etc.

A refreshing change to have a GM not obsessed with pointless BS.

He has no choice at this point. After the draft the house cleaning will happen.

That may not be true.

It will depend how things go over the course of the next few months.

Dorsey may find that these are guys that he can trust and work with.

Untrue. Pioli had a choice, and he chose to freeze his scouts out.

Would be interesting to know how many of those guys in the picture are Pioli guys or disciples of the Patriot Way. Because if they are, that picture tells a really impressive story about our GM.

SAUTO 01-27-2013 03:57 PM

It could be that Dorsey doesn't know if he can trust these guys, so he sat with them and asked what they saw immediately after the practices so he could compare it to what he saw.

Then he can know what to think about their reports from when he's not around
