Between Houston and his attitude and Berry and his Haglund's, we had like $45m worth of players who should've been leading the defense either on the sideline pretending to coach, or simply muttering to anyone who'd listen about how they don't have to practice...

Facts.

Lmao those are things you just made up. Who said he didn't practice hard?

You completely misinterpreted that quote.

"I just knew we had to make a play,” Houston said. “(Hamilton) walked up to me on the sideline. He called me out. He said, ‘You show energy all week long. I need it now. I need it now! You’re the leader of this defense. I need it now!’ So he challenged me, and I just want to be that guy the team could lean on in a time of need.”

This. So tired of people using that quote as a major indictment of the guy.

He absolutely was a leader on that defense and you could absolutely see that on the sidelines.

FlaChief58 08-25-2019 07:43 AM

I'm sure his depression goes away every time he looks at his bank statement.

A lot of people. I don't care what you think. Don't believe me. You can believe he was the best player on one of the worst defenses ever, and you might even be right.

I wasn't even considering that quote...more the rumblings from inside the buidling in regards to his attitude towards the organization itself.

Cancerous, and it spread throughout the defense. A defense that should have been better than they were.

People I've spoken with.

It's been all over this board, too - here's just one thread with several comments on the first page (I'll link it, even though your reading comprehension is atrocious) :

It was most apparent in his run defense.

For all the shit that Ford took as a run defender, he was at least an outstanding pursuit defender against the run. Houston, OTOH, jaked it BADLY last year in run defense.

You can flip a switch as a pass rusher and give effort when you want to. As a run defender, you're either engaged every down or you're ineffective. Last season Houston was clearly ineffective.

That raises some obvious red flags with regards to effort and intensity.

Houston can say whatever excuse he wants for joining those dickwads, the fact is, he dogged it a lot last year. Two out of every three plays he gave less than 100%. We needed more than just the occasional sack from him. The defense was awful and Houston was part of that equation. Then after giving a half-ass effort year, he refused to take a pay cut or help the team cap-wise in any way. Have fun losing to the Chiefs next year in the Playoffs and watching your old team move on. Houston has been paid like the best defensive player in the NFL for years now, but was not even close to the player he was. Good riddance.

The posts here speak to his overall shitty attitude. I don't have any links about practice, like I said in the previous post, it's from people inside the building.

Jesus ****ing Christ, I knew your comprehension was terrible...

Words. Do you know what they mean!?

LOL Rabble is an idiot. I'm not sure he's ever had a valid stance in any debate.

You must've missed where I defended Tyreek's innocence from Day one, but that's okay...I'll forgive you for being oblivious.

I didn't think getting a sack on Tom Brady was too much to ask in the biggest game to get to the Super Bowl.

Hell, I would've settled for a tackle on their running backs, or even just getting in the way to slow them down so someone else could tackle them...

mnchiefsguy 08-25-2019 08:45 AM

Who cares? He ****ing left, he did not want to re-structure.
