I think this is the most sensible thing to do. The Steelers and Chargers (today) only have 2 losses and Houston and NE have 3. Now I realize there's a lot of football to be played, but 2 losses could put us on the WC round.

I'm going to my first game at Arrowhead in 11 years vs. the Raiders. But, I'd rather see a Super Bowl win on TV than Mahomes play in person.

The Chargers win out. We lose to the Rams/Chargers we are in the WC. This thing aint over yet.

Just rest a couple of our broke dicks

Hog's Gone Fishin 11-13-2018 07:30 AM

Mahomes doesn't rest unless he's already broken all the NFL single season passing records. And then maybe.

BleedingRed 11-13-2018 07:39 AM

No, 13-3 curse is real..... 14-2 or 15-1 please!

Not to mention that we need Mahomes to have as many’s reps as possible before a bye week.

You can guard our players sure, Hunt/Watkins/Travis/Hill snap count but you keep Oline in there with Mahomes let Robinson/Conely/Harris get reps

Last game rest the starters

I think playing the raiders week 17 will cause more harm than good

Beating a weak opponent gives a false sense of accomplishment in a time when the rest of the games are about to go up to the next level in intensity

He won't do it now.

They didn’t clinch the division that year until after week 17

It would be a nice problem to have. I would definitely not want to rest them for an entire game. Play the entire second to last game and play the last game like the third preseason game.

Wasn’t it the Colts a while back who rested everyone in the final week, and the team they got in because of that went on to beat them in the playoffs?

jaa1025 11-13-2018 09:08 AM

If homefield is locked up then I'd treat it as a preseason game. Play your starters for a quarter or so then start pulling them. I don't support fully sitting anyone unless they are injured because they'd be sitting for an entire month if you sat them for the last two games of the season and they had a 1st round bye in the playoffs.

RunKC 11-13-2018 09:11 AM

Andy probably will but I wouldn’t.

I don’t feel comfortable sitting players for 3 weeks when the playoffs start. That’s how you get out of rythym.

bobbything 11-13-2018 09:15 AM

If home field is still in play, you don't rest anyone. If it's not, and losing two games makes no difference, then I would limit the starters' play.

O.city 11-13-2018 09:29 AM

Play til you lock in HFA. Once you do that, anyone with dings or whatnot, can sit for a bit.

I don't think it will happen though.

I guess my OP wasn't very clear....

If KC is 13-1 with a 2.5 game lead....HFA is locked up with 2 games left.

Steelers/Patriots/Chargers would all have to lose one game over the next 4.

Chargers and NE both play the Steelers in the next few weeks.
