Ip Man - 4.5/5 - Probably the best Kung Fu movie since Fist of Legend. Awesome fight scenes, just try not to roll your eyes too hard when they equate the movie's conclusion with China's "victory" over Japan.

watched 'the brave one' and it was a pretty good rent, kindve depressing and dark for sure. jodie foster is pretty good in the movie.

have 'the rocker', 'push' and 'flyboys' at home now from netflix...anyone seen these?

Flyboys is entertaining, I liken it to a shortened version of Pearl Harbor set in France.

Of course it's shorter, they give up, right?

Finally broke down and watched Indy and the Crystal Skull. After the first half hour I was about ready to hunt Lucas, Spielberg and Ford down like a mini version of Taken. Then it got better. Or my brain died. In the end it's obvious how little everyone involved cared about making a good movie.

I enjoyed the hell out of Fly Boys. I though it was pretty well done.

It is kinda like Pearl Harbor minus the epic suck. The battle scenes aren't as Michael Bay-ish, but there are more of them.

I really really enjoyed it. I can see how some people wouldn't because it isn't attached to anything we know well. The air war in WWI Europe isn't at the top of anyone's mind, but I enjoyed it. Well done film IMO.

Did you ever see that SP episode where Lucas and Spielberg 'attacked' indiana jones? hilarious yet disturbing

It is NOT happy and upbeat. You may like it better than she does. That's the way it worked with me and wife.

It was a joke about the French surrendering.
