Kansas/Texas A&M would have to beat Missouri twice tomorrow in a double-header to advance to the conference championship game. Missouri only has to win once, if they win the first game, the 2nd one wont be played.

Considering KU is atrocious at all sports that are not basketball I don't think MU has much to worry about if they play KU.

What is the head to head record?

Looked it up. KU has won 9 out of the last 11.

Not to worry. Baseball is a secondary sport.

You refute that Kansas has beaten Mizzou 9 of the last 11 times in baseball?

I know the Tigers are pretty proud that Mizzou has won 7 of the last 11 in football, but 9 out of 11 is not as impressive?

I guess I missed something.

I would say something...but UF hasn't won shit either.

If it was a sport that mattered whatsoever I'd be pretty impressed. But there are only two sports that matter. #1 Football #2 Men's Basketball.

I was mere responding to trolalala's comment about Kansas sucking at all sports other than basketball.

That said, winning both ends of a double-header in a tournament is difficult.

I figure Kansas wins the first game, but loses in the second.

And college baseball does matter to some. Wichita State won it all in '89, and Mizzou won it all in '53 (may be wrong on that). Kansas has never won a national championship in college baseball as far as I know.

So they are a national power in something other than basketball? Well, color me surprised then.

Nope. Never said that. KU is damn near the worst baseball team in the Big 12. But they have, of late, had success against Missouri. That's hard to dispute.

That I will give you that they have had success as of late against MU. I am not sure if beating Missouri should be a measuring stick for any sort of greatness though. That is why I stated what I stated. But I mentioned that they were atrocious in all sports except basketball, and it took you multiple posts to acknowledge that fact. Its all good though.

I wasn't trying to be a dick. At least not this time. I apologize for the "trolalala" crack. Respect.

Iowa State used to be real good in Wrestling. We are still pretty good in Volleyball and Woman's basketball. Its cool and all, but I'll never follow any of those or attend an event.

Shit I only watched one wrestling match ever, and that's because a kid the grade below me in HS was in the national championship.

This is not correct. People actually do care about NCAA baseball. Not as much as football and basketball, and its not a revenue sport, but they do care. After football and basketball, baseball is the only thing that gets even the slightest amount of interest whatsoever, and fans do get a bit excited if they win a super-regional.

KU is not making it into the NCAA baseball tournament (64 teams) without the automatic berth. They would have to beat Mizzou twice tomorrow, and then probably Oklahoma on Sunday, and there's not much chance of that happening.

Baseball is HUGE in the SEC. It's going to be Missouri's most difficult sport to transition to their new conference.

Well to be fair ISU doesn't have a baseball team, but yes I can easily see that as the third most popular sport. But I'd say there is a bit of a margin between football and basketball... then three times at least the margin from basketball to baseball.
