Miller doesn’t need any help with a wide strike zone ump

Can't say we haven't had chances to tie or take the lead....we just forget how to put the bat on the ball when we have those chances....literally

Millers a good enough pitcher on his own. It’s damn near impossible when he’s getting bullshit strike calls to help him out.
Oh well. Not like it matters in the long run, I guess. |

Any reason why you wouldn't pinch-run Orlando here?

Well, the Royals had their opportunities as they continue their annoying habit of busting out in the 1st and then doing squat the rest of the way.
Good pitching outside the 1st, that's a positive. |

I hate early April baseball in northern cities. The players look like they are dressed for the Iditarod race.

Speaking of Jose Altuve, read a little this morning about a similarly pint-sized 2B in the Royals system.
Rudy Martin is 5-7. Fairly meh career thus far but has good speed and has consistently shown a knack for getting on base. He’s at Wilmington this year, so he will be easy to follow (as Rivera and Lee are both there). He apparently has a little pop. If he can keep getting on base and swiping bags, could become a legit prospect. |
Was not aware he had an option:
