What a ****ing horrific game plan. Too many players scared to take shots. I'm glad this bullshit ended tonight.

Good luck Memphis!

Either way the Spurs or Grizzlies would at least present an interesting matchup for the Heat. They can both do damage inside, and have the potential to beat up on guys like Bosh.

He did hit a game winner in game 1. He was definitely uncharacteristic the rest of the series. Partly, because they had no offense at the end of games, and Memphis didn't respect anyone else to make a shot. Tonight he got the shit he wanted and missed it. It happens. He's made more big shots than anyone the last few years but its what have you done for me lately. I get that.

Durant's 24 years old. People compare him to LeBron... but LeBron's got 4 years on him. I'm not too worried about Durant. He'll learn. Any team that has him on it will be a contender.

I can not stand bitches that bitch about officiating in every god damn post. He was one of the few players ever that shot 50% from the field, 40% from 3 and 90% from the line. He's had countless big shots in the playoffs the last few years. All he does it shoot free throws. He gets no more calls than Wade, LeBron, Kobe etc. is Durant a fraud or are you a ****ing biased, whiner, loser douche. Hmmmm, I wonder.

Memphis was just vastly superior to the Westbrook-less Thunder in this series. Durant did all he could and it wasn't enough to make up for everyone else. That was the story of many of LeBron's early years. It doesn't mean much of anything about his career going forward.

In any case, though, year 1 without Harden ends without a championship for that franchise. I'll never get that trade and breaking up that threesome.

okcchief 05-15-2013 10:52 PM

My buddy told me Barkley finally shit on Brooks at halftime. Can't wait to see that.

Watching the Thunder these last few weeks was like watching a friend on their death bed. You see flashes of the, but you know the suffering needs to end.

Perkins should be gone.

Martin should be gone.

Brooks should be gone.

Know the 3rd won't happen, but 2 of 3 would be a start.

Go Royals!

:)

Said his game plan was turrible, yes. Which it was.

I could see trading Harden if they got great players back in return. They didn't. It was a horrible trade for pennies on the dollar and pretty much everyone could see that (even though some idiots defended the trade).

I still believe we would have gone to the Finals with Westbrook. However, its not fair to say that because Memphis was the team I feared the most in the West all along. The way these games went though I believe he'd be the difference. I give credit to Memphis because as you said they were vastly superior. Still the Harden trade was a mistake . It's what they do with the money Harden freed up that can still salvage the situation. It's on the ownership and Presti now to decide if they want a ring or higher profit margins. Whether Perkins is on the roster or not tells that story for me.

okcchief 05-15-2013 11:01 PM

If you use the money you saved moving Harden, dump Perk and Martin, bring in a better big man, develop Lamb, make a good pick its salvaged. Keep making mistakes, and time passes you by.

okcchief 05-15-2013 11:03 PM

What kind of money is Pekovic expected to get? I'd take him in a heartbeat.

Thunder needed to work harder to get Kevin Martin off every game. They needed him to go for 18 a game. Instead it was Fisher getting all of the shots they needed Martin to be taking throughout the game.

Some of the shine is off Presti after the way this season has gone. The Harden trade is high profile. But the inability to see Perkins downward slide and adding reinforcements is really questionable. Brooks is weak, but it doesn't help when the best big behind Collison is freaking Hasheem Thabeet. You think OKC could have used Birdman or Kenyon Martin? Perhaps a guy like Reggie Evans this past off-season?

With all that said, I'd still be happy if I'm OKC with Presti as my GM. I think he's a sharp guy, and he'll rebound to improve this team for next season.

He's going to get really big money. Perhaps not quite max, but probably pretty close.

The Thunder need another vet or two to solidify their bench IMO, but a post scorer has to be priority #1.
