Anyone know how to verify?

I would really like to see it again with the correct ones but have no idea how to find a copy. I would guess that pretty much all of the copies available for rent will have the ****ed up subs since the companies renting the discs would have bought them at release. I think the back of the box will state something like "theatrical subtitles" if it is the corrected edition.

I watched The Spirit, from the creator of Sin City and 300. Both of those movies i liked, especially Sin City. It has several name actors in it this, Samuel Jackson, Eva Mendes and Scarlett Johansson.

I was somewhat disappointed in the movie. It had way more potential, but poorly directed. As expected there are many cool effects. If you like the green screen visual effects movies, then check it out.

But the story just falls short, maybe flat. Which the story line is what i look for as the top in any movie. I had high hopes, sadly it fell short.

I still hope they keep making these type of movies though.

I have doubt, frost/nixon, and the spirit heading my way from netflix....

anyone seen any of these?

I knew there was a controversy about making changes to the subs, but I didn't know they totally butchered them.

Wow, that kinda sucks, totally different line. Why would they do that?

Supposedly they wanted to do a more literal translation. How hard would it have been to just include both?

Doubt was really good. It took me watching Frost/Nixon to realize it, interestingly enough. Incidentally, Frost/Nixon was really, really good. I loved it.
