I get it, but there’s a difference between a herniated disk and your back being sore.

According to reports, Schwartz had his back lock up on him. That sounds pretty normal for many players at the start of camp. Getting your body in football shape isn’t easy and no matter what you do in the offseason, you can’t replicate being sore from real ball. That’s why Damien Williams is out and Chris Jones was noticeably fatigued yesterday. |
Couple questions, I’m gonna be in Parkville visiting my parents first part of next week. It’s not too far from camp and was thinking about surprising my boys by taking them there. Any idea on costs, things I’d need to know, etc. It’d be for their bday. Thanks

Matt Derrick is on 810 talking about the injuries and such. Pretty good insight.
Doesn't seem to worried about anything right now, saying they won't push anyone this early so unless guys are still out in a few days, then worry. I'll calm down. |

He's probably ill-suited to play outside, yes. But SCB has effectively become a starting position these days and in many ways its actually harder to play than out wide. A guy like Fields doesn't get to use the boundary as a 12th defender and has a lot of jet wash to deal with in the middle of the field. Meanwhile I'm not sure Fenton can play - period. So if you have a guy like Fields that has so many traits you're looking for in a solid SCB, what the hell are you doing letting him go undrafted? I think they got awfully lucky here because I think the kids a player. My only concern is his focus - there are a lot of whispers about him being something of a space cadet at Clemson. Then again, there were others who said there were times that he was the key defender on that defense in that a focused Fields would take them up another notch. |

It's been interesting to watch the passing drills and realize that the D is actually getting some wins in there.
You're seeing mostly highlight clips of the offense but when you see Mahomes hit the back of his drop, pat the ball, re-set and then dump to a RB...well that's obviously a coverage W. And in a situation that's built to favor the offense all the way. Sure, this offense is gonna win a lot of matchups but again...fuuuuuuuuck there are a lot of weapons on that offense. Nobody has what this team has. In fact, with some breaks this could go down as the best offense in NFL history. Chad Henne could pilot this team to 24 PPG. So when you're watching some of these clips and seeing guys get beat, let's not forget that these 7 on 7 drills are a defense's nightmare and that you're seeing more stands by the D than it might seem at first blush. |

That hit doesn't look that bad, his legs don't fold up or anything, thinking he got shaken up and because it's practice he's done, if it were a game he'd be fine.

Harris could do it in his prime but he's a tick slower now. The Chargers have so much depth in the defensive backfield that I would expect they can mix/match in ways designed to slow him down. But it's like asking who can man-up Brown or OBJ when they're healthy. Those guys are just so damn quick in/out of their breaks and with their ability to get over top of you you have to give them enough cushion that they are effectively always open. People talk about Kelce as being a matchup problem but Hill's truly the biggest matchup nightmare in the league right now. His body control and explosiveness are just so unique. |
Is Breeland on Belechicks secret payroll?

Bench him until week 1
He’s already catching one handed passes and beating fools on the deep. Him and Pat are in sync |

If that's Mahomes under center (hard to tell from that distance) then the collision was on Mahomes. He exposed Hill something awful there and really shouldn't have let that ball go. The best case scenario was a 3 yard gain and you just saw the worst. Your WRs ain't gonna keep going fishing with you if you hang them out like that... |
