I'm sure there will be an american remake, and they'll screw it up horribly. |

I watched "At the Movies" last night and they both praised "Let the Right One In" and said it was being remade by the director of "Cloverfield". They said if you want to see a good vampire film, go see LTROI and skip "Twilight".

I saw Quantum of Solace over the last weekend. It was good. I liked it. I enjoy the Daniel Craig series much more than I did the Pierce Brosnan series.
Although, I was explaining the movie to my mom, and I don't think he had any cool gadgets. He had some pimp cars, but I don't remember any off the wall gadgets. Some would argue that it goes completely against everything Bond, but I like it more. With this series it doesn't seem easy. He's confident and shit goes his way, but it is not nearly as easy for him as it was in previous series'. Fat man approves. |
Saw "Role Models" over the weekend, was suprisingly funny...we enjoyed it. Also "The Promotion" another movie with the stifler guy, pretty decent as well.
|
Transporter 3 was a waste of time/money. Don't bother.

I think they are working up to the classic Bond stuff. Perhaps the 3rd movie will be there. Who knows? Its pretty obvious they are trying to copy the "Bourne" movie style. Not a bad thing, just different. Craig OWNS this role now. Hes awesume. |

I've only read one of the Bond books, The Man With the Golden Gun I think it was. I thought it was interesting at the time that it was unlike the Bond movies. He didn't use any gadgets. It was more realistic than the films. I remember he had to assasinate a guy with a revolver. He turned the cylinder a little when he was getting ready so he could fire quicker. That was the sort of detail that was used in the book, not any sort of gadgets. Maybe the producers/directors are sort of going back to the book style. |

I just watched Trade via Netfix on Xbox. Man, that was fugged up.

Did anyone watch the new Punisher movie?
I liked the first one. I wondered how the new one was. |
I heard the new one was dogshit and more like an 80's action flick

Saw Blood Diamond,
Pretty good film, its a brutal film at first, but it calms down near the end. |
Saw...The Strangers

His South African accent was spot on, and he learned some lines in a foreign language...He did a good job. I actually like Leonardo DiCaprio, did you not like his performance in The Departed? |

I just watched a DVD called The Lookout. I liked it quite a bit. It's about a kid that gets in a car accident and has some brain damage so he forgets simple tasks and routines. He ends up working as a night janitor at a bank and some dudes dupe into plotting a robbery.
The setting was Kansas City and Kansas so that was also pretty cool. |

Keanunu is probably the perfect person for the role of the alien. He's as wooden as they come outside of porn. |
Question:
Why do they keep hiring these dog-women to play Batman's love interests? Katie Holmes? Blah. New Chick? Woof-Woof! Discuss. |
Just finished Shooter, cool flick. A little predictable though.

The ending was too much though. The sequel must have been killed at some point during the dailies. |

"Why have you come to our planet"? "To set a new low in acting, of course"... Do you think everybody wearing sunglasses in the Matrix movies was planned? No. It was the only way to lessen the effects of Reeve's unmaskable "smoking cat-nip" facial expressions. Oh the tragedy... |

Im debating whether I want to watch another movie tonight....
Has anyone seen Crank? It needs to be an action movie so I don't fall asleep. |
Quote:
Regardless, have you seen the original, which is brilliant? If you have, you might have a better understanding of why he was chosen. Justification? Probably not. |

If you don't care for it, no worries. But it IS an excellent and relevant film during the Cold War. This is a remake. I didn't have high hopes until I saw the trailer. I'll probably be disappointed. |
Ok, good then.
Off to watch Crank, I'll report back en la manana. |
Speaking of old Sci-Fi Classics, I heard they are remaking West World

Mmm...
When Batman figures out that clowns in the high-rise are decoys, and relays that info back to Morgan Freeman; he sounds exactly like JC Denton. Exactly. |

I can't tell if you're kidding or not! I actually think Maggie is very sexy. I realize her attractiveness or beauty is not standard, I just think she has an incredible sex appeal about her. It's not always about being hottest or whatever. I like Katie Holmes, but I'd pick Maggie over her 10 times out of 10. |

I like Maggie. She did a sufficient job of turning me on. I think she is particularly attractive in Stranger than Fiction despite the fact that I don't normally like big tatoos. |
Did anyone see Appaloosa? I was thinking of going to see it, but it's already out of the theaters around here.

I finally watched Downfall tonight. It was excellent.
Although I couldn't help but chuckle during the rant scene. :D |
Two movies that you don't want to see. Hitman and School is for Scoundrels. Both are horrible for different reasons.
I saw Austraila with the fam over Thanksgiving and it's a great family flick but it is about 3 hour long. Somebody told me it had been getting bad reviews. I'm kind of confused why. While it's not a genre of movie that I like, it wasn't too bad. They probably should have made two movies though. When I saw Batman it felt like it was going to end three times, but then when it didn't I was happy and the plot thickened. Australia does the same thing, but you want it to end. |
Australia was ****ing horrible. It had AT LEAST 4 endings...it became comical at a point. They couldn't decide what to focus the story on, therefore, I didn't give a shit about any of the stories/characters. Somewhere in there was a really good movie, but by trying to do too much, it was ruined. Sad.
Thing is, I love long movies. I'd rather see a 3 hour movie, for my money, than a 90 minute one...so I had high hopes. Kid was cool, though. |

Just saw Slumdog Millionaire. Thought it was awesome. A little too schmaltzy for me at the end, but otherwise a great movie. Definitely recommend it.

"Fearless".
Not as good as Hero, but a fun ride nonetheless. |
Anyone watch Leatherheads? A friend of mine burned off one too many copies for people, so she gave me one. Was thinking about watching it when I get home from work tonight before the game starts.

I just saw Network today for the first time, and WOW. What a flick, honestly one of the most well written movies I've ever seen. Pretty nuts how relevant this movie is today.

Netflix > Burn > Sell for 5-bucks. I'm talking, "here's my list, what do you want, this is coming out, is anybody interested"? And so on and so forth. Never less than 200 movies on his person at all times. I'd like to stand on a pedestal and say that piracy is killing the "quality of Hollywood", but we all know that's just a straight-up fantasy. The fact is; digital media is cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaap. CD's cost shit to make, DVD's cost shit to make, and not only will I NOT cry that Metallica does not get all their due-grip; I will laugh my ass off about it.ROFL |
